Judi Sutherland @judisutherland.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Why won’t they definitely say they would put rejoin in their manifesto? It would transform their fortunes. 000
Judi Sutherland @judisutherland.bsky.social · 09/10/2026I expect the result would have been quite different if the Greens had fielded an unknown candidate rather than their high profile leader. 100

Judi Sutherland @judisutherland.bsky.social · 08/10/2026See, I would leave a note in the lunchbox saying ‘make your own sandwich’. Not as subtle, but less work. 030
Judi Sutherland @judisutherland.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Yeah, we haven’t been back since a house hunting trip in June. Oxfordshire council got an injunction against the flagshaggers shortly afterwards. 000
Judi Sutherland @judisutherland.bsky.social · 08/10/2026It’s not the same place we left 6 years ago. All flags and potholes. But I hope to find some useful causes to join. And my friends are there. 110
Judi Sutherland @judisutherland.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Thanks to Facebook we still have a lot of friends in Oxfordshire, and we are returning to the village we left 12 years ago. Although both our buyers and our vendors have been bastards, so we are forced to spend 5 weeks in temporary accommodation between completion dates. £££££ 110

Judi Sutherland @judisutherland.bsky.social · 08/10/2026What happened to Greece was that they were allowed in before their economy was ready. Their tax base was too low IIRC and their economy then couldn’t withstand a major crash because they couldn’t devalue. 100
Judi Sutherland @judisutherland.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Right. Try telling people the interest they pay on loans and mortgages would be cheaper. Like the French didn’t have an emotional attachment to the Franc, but € was good enough for them. My parents’ generation had an emotional attachment to the sixpence and the shilling, but we all got over it. 010
Judi Sutherland @judisutherland.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Why not ask the question: 'How should we address British people's obvious reluctance to join the Euro? Who is going to explain the benefits?' Because right now, nobody is doing that. 312
Judi Sutherland @judisutherland.bsky.social · 08/10/2026And this morning, HP support rang back and tentatively they have fixed it! 🙏🏻 🤞. Windows upgrade screwed up the drivers or something. Anyhoo. Thanks to Aycha for her patience and knowledge. 000
