It's pretty satisfying to take a "good-sounding plan" from Claude. Start refining it and realizing the final version is much simpler & streamlined. Even if the implementation later on is trickier. But coding agents have that part pretty much solved already.

Yesterday was final day of the learning challenge. I would have crushed it if it weren't for the fact that last week was the worst I've had in months. Went from building a chadgpt type app to a multi-agent system that codes features for me It is still not there yet so... I *almost* made it.

I'm close to finishing a 14-day AI accelerator, less than 2 more days left. And the reason I'm saying that is cause is part of my last learning challenge for the year. But also cause after this, I believe everything else will get accelerated in the new year.

Had a deadline coming up. I thought I could get 3 solid work hours. Started at 10 pm. No distractions. Focus playlist on. I won't blame flow state that made hours pass like minutes while I tried to make a feature work. Ended up going to bed at 4:15 am. And could only get 2 hours of sleep. 😅

At this stage in my life, I can't pull off all-nighters. (Especially when I have physical work during the day.) But at least I can get some solid work hours during the night. And just for limited times, sleep like 3-4 hours...

Had a great plan for the day ahead. Woke up at 5:30 am to start crossing tasks off. At 6:10 am, the plan went down the drain. I had to fill in for someone who didn't come to work. It's 10:30 pm and I've been putting out fires and trying to get actual work done. Tomorrow will be another day.

I can say that I survived one of the most demanding and taxing weeks I've had in Months. Doing physical work, trying to meet deadlines, and dealing with family stuff. Thank God the week ended and I still keep some of my sanity going...

From trying to finish a project that was intended as a self-serve, multi-tenant SaaS app. To turning it into a fully functional, enterprise demo-to-sale app. Quite a change of direction but I'm convinced the new one has way more future.

Ironic how one little slip can mess up your entire sleep schedule. Which means the time you had on the early morning to work on your main project is gone. And you're scrambling around the entire day trying to fit that hour in. By evening is too late & you're too tired. 🥱😒

When you're working on a project that's getting to MVP stage (to give demos to interested potential clients). The timelines can become a blur. I don't even know if it's Wednesday, Sunday, or Monday. Every day is a work day at least until we get something ready to show (and get that 💵)

We went from Github Copilot to a couple of VSCode forks that are now valued at billions. To one of those getting "acqui-hired", other screwed up and almost done. And then Amazon swooping in putting out the best offering so far. All of that in half a year. Craaaaazzzyyyy.

Just found in the last issue of "Exploding Ideas" that the term "gamified learning" is starting to get traction. It might be time to bring back my old project "Mythic Skills" that combines fictional stories, gamification, and short-sized lessons. Although even with AI is quite a big/ambitious one.
