Hello - been doing this a long time across multiple IP’s and formats. Was at OG Telltale, worked at a mobile startup, and also at Netflix. I got stories (pun intended)

This was V1 pre-pro art - we updated to a different version down the line.

Last month was a year since my mother passed away - every holiday/milestone in the first year without our loved ones feels so different. Time does help heal, but it doesn’t mean it isn’t hard. I’m sorry dude.

This felt like a Bluey episode. But at least we’re growing together.

Juan Vaca @juancow.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

while crunching, I’d take my daughter to the park as a way to detach, focus solely on her, and clear my head. We took the same walk after I was laid off. She tripped and began crying. Through my own tears I told her, “it’s okay to cry when we fall, but we pick ourselves back up and we’ll be okay.”

Thanks Chris. I’m still numb - gonna try to focus on my family to heal and figure out what’s next.

TBH - I didn’t want to take the role at first. But I’m a combat veteran, a marine sniper, a filmmaker. I felt the responsibility of the opportunity and the duty to do it right. I knew I’d be reopening old wounds, confronting my PTSD, sharing a truth. I gave it my all and it still wasn’t enough.

I built my career upon kindness and helping others, being the leader/coworker/friend I wish I had: A Yes in this World of No’s. I didn’t want to be a Layoffs Poster Boy but I appreciate everyone’s support, i’m grateful for old friends reaching out. We’re all just humans trying to survive together.

Working in games is called a Dream Job because one day you wake up and it’s all over.

I am part of this round of layoffs and am seeking new opportunities. If your team needs a narrative director / storyteller, please reach out.

“Teenage nostalgia” I was already a Sergeant in the Marines when the first one came out, but I totally get what you mean. That’s GoldenEye for me.

The "Queen of Salsa" performed for over 50 years and now lives on through her music, outlook, and energy. This song reminds us life is beautiful even during difficult times, so spend your time singing instead of crying. AZUCAR! La Vida Es Un Carnaval - Celia Cruz youtu.be/sRH6CLTJcBo?...
