Going to be real, the current vibe of the Democrats and the popular protests is this comic from 2005.
The Pain - When Will It End? Webcomic by Tim Krieder. Title of piece is "Liberals vs. The Empire."

A hippy-style protest, with signs such as "The People are the 'Ultimate Power'" and "NO to Galactic Imperialism" and Darth Vader in effigy. In the background, thr Death Star hovers ominously, with a jagged, speaker speech bubble saying "Commencing Primary Ignition."

I won this! Carolyn's craft is absolutely phenomenal. I love this blanket so much — it's going to be my companion throughout the years ahead. Despite being woven from cool blue, it feels emotionally warm in a way I can't quite describe. I genuinely can't recommend her work highly enough.
Simply the finest, handmade blue blanket I've ever seen, that I will be carrying with me through the rest of my life.

Just in case he takes it down later (he's a coward so it's likely), here's @eldonmacwood.bsky.social's antisocial, anti-arts bullshit for posterity. If he ever renounces gen AI, apologises for promoting it, and makes amends, I'll take this down. But he's blocked me, so someone will have to tell me.
@eldonmacwood.bsky.social declaring himself pro-AI and talking about using it in his writing.

Surprising no one, the guy using AI to write called me a bigot, then blocked me when I said that was nonsense.
Blocked post. The reply to it reads:

Bigotry is, definitionally and de facto by usage, unreasonable. It is contempt without good reason.

Holding you in contempt for your callous disregard for others and your socially harmful beliefs and actions which damage their lives and their livelihoods is not bigotry. It's thoroughly reasonable.

Saw someone write "This feels like a dystopian movie plot that somehow became a reality," in response. Every day, people in the West learn something new about their country and say that; but, through the power of tremendous indoctrination and propaganda, so many of them won't connect the final dot.
Random Twitter user reacting to an AP press story.

The story is about how Alabama "leases" inmates to companies for work at KFC and Holiday Inn etc while routinely denying them parole.

The reaction is "'leasing inmates' BITCH DO YOU MEAN SLAVERY?"

I understand that many people try to reframe their disabilities as advantages as an act of psychological empowerment. I understand this. However, I /loathe/ the framing of ADHD as a superpower. If your ADHD can be framed as advantageous, your ADHD isn't that severe. It's nothing but a curse.

If anyone happens to know an artist into neo-impressionism who'd be up for painting a very bright, painfully cheerful book cover with a subversive edge, please put me in touch!
"Place des Lices St Tropez," by Paul Signac."Morning Willows by the Pond," by Dmitry Spiros.
