Enjoyed some jojos and summer weather on October 2nd with my eldest child. On days like this you couldn’t pay me to live somewhere else 🥰

I love this artist’s work so much I accidentally bought this record twice, lol. Wonderfully meditative and especially good for the end of a busy day

Probably my favorite late Coltrane, a duo session w. Rashied Ali. It’s so stripped down & yet fierce. An album of extremes - beauty & intensity. One of his final studio sessions (February 22, 1967) before his death on July 17, 1967 Still patiently waiting for Verve to reissue this on LP

Well. My photo app has just informed me that I was having what appears to be a rather glorious week this week 17 years ago - in my garden, on the coast, on a hike in the forest. And there were countless other weeks just as lovely. I really did/do love being a mom and I am truly grateful ❤️

Just got back from going to pick up my teen from the suburbs - but we misunderstood each other and he took the bus home instead. But it turned out to be really nice to drive. The sky was big and dusky blue, pink smoke on the horizon. The Brazilian show was on KMHD. I feel surprisingly relaxed now 😌

Still catching up with records found on the June 2026 Portland Record Shop Tour Staycation Extravaganza, lol

THE HARD WAY IN TO THE WAY OUT OF EASY
In October 2024, to celebrate Jeff Parker's then-impending ETA IVtet album The Way Out of Easy, International Anthem and JP put out an open invitation for anyone to create a remix or reimagining of music from the album, and submit their work for potential inclusion on a limited edition LP.
The album was made available in advance of its release for interested parties, but exclusively on USB sticks to be picked up in person at a select group of independent record stores. One month later, the portal was closed, and 77 remixes had been submitted.
This limited edition LP contains 11 of those tracks, selected by JP himself.
Seprock-Pothole Hijinx
Yehaiyahan-Jazz My Life (Yehaiyahan Rmx Ft EDHEM)
Megadead-Out of the Way
Maodea-Hard Way In (Easy Way Out remix)
Kyron-Chrome Dome (Kyron remix)
Diogo-Chrome Dome (Diogo remix)
Andrew Connor-EZ Way
Swimming-24hr IVtet Flip (interlude)
Sergio Castañeda-Tripkadelic

In the South, doing Southern things

Technically, I could probably find these in Portland if I looked hard enough, but I’d never think to buy them there, so here we are.. doing this in the South. Also, if we want to be picky they are no longer manufactured in Louisiana anyway as production moved to Pennsylvania for a variety of reasons. Also these potatoes were likely grown in PA, New York, or Michigan. Also, they are vegetarian if anyone is wondering, lol. No actual crawdads are in the chips. They are basically just a very crispy, crunchy, mildly spicy kettle chip. Pretty yummy and the packaging makes me smile
