Like old times tonight when I’m back on the radio! It’s for a repeat of Downtown Radio 50 Years On at 10pm. Definitely the way to end this weekend…

Downtown Radio celebrates it’s 50th birthday today. To become the “station voice” and a presenter on the station for nearly a decade was a childhood dream come true. I'm really proud to have played a small part in the Downtown story.

I was working at Downtown Radio at the time of the 20th birthday celebrations.... today the station is 50 years old! It's the station we listened to at home when I was growing up and I'm proud to have been a (very!) small part of its history. youtu.be/6vy6zsi4hDg?...

Another sad anniversary today, a year since Big T (Trevor Campbell) passed away. Thoughts are very much with Vi and the family.

A year ago today we heard the sad news that Candy had passed away in Australia. Thinking of her and the family and friends at this time.

Always a privilege to be asked to say the opening words on a new radio station - that’s today at 2pm on Best City Radio launching on DAB in Belfast and Lisburn. Good luck to its founder @AlanMcAteer7 and all of the on air team involved!

As Downtown begins its 50th year of broadcasting today, thoughts turn to Candy and Trevor, two of the original presenters who sadly left us last autumn. Thankful for all the memories.
