Glad to see legality discussed, & not the free pass I’ve come to expect. Still, this is just a typo but I can’t help but wonder if there was an editorial change to “may” to make the wording less definitive. That’s where I am in terms of trusting WaPo. ☹️ Makes me sad.

The order's legality may be contested, but the president is generally allowed under the law to defer spending for a period of time, according to budget experts. To comply, though, Trump must make clear though which budget accounts are frozen, Kogan said, and the budget office's order may not provided sufficient grounds under the law to pause the funding.

Schwarzenegger had some interesting comments to the nazis who marched in Charlottesville, after Trump called them “fine people.”

"Your heroes are losers. You are supporting a lost cause. Believe me, I knew the original Nazis." He explained that he was born in Austria in 1947, right after World War II, and growing up he "was surrounded by broken men, men who came home from the war filled with shrapnel and guilt, men who were misled into a losing ideology. And I can tell you that these ghosts that you idolize spent the rest of their lives living in shame. And right now, they're resting in hell."

As we see new weaker terms for horrible things (WaPo just came w one for sexual harassment yesterday!) we should note old ones still in use. There was not a RIOT”on Jan 6, 2021. It was an ATTACK. Calling them “rioters” severely diminishes the planned, directed, & targeted terrorism that it was.
