This is how crazy storage prices have become because AI data centers are buying EVERYTHING. In 2020 I purchased 2 x 12TB hard drives for a total of < $380. In 2026 the same drives are selling for almost $600 EACH! ... The AI bubble can't pop fast enough for me.

Since Trump took office, the personal saving rate has fallen from 5.7% to 4.1%, the lowest since 2022. With tariffs pushing up prices and real wages falling since the Iran War, families are dipping into savings to keep up.

Looking at the numbers (not portion size) I was thinking something similar. Dollar costs about the same when looking at the first 20 year difference vs. next 35 years. @4.1% compounded annual increase or 55 years 1971 -> 2026 from the original $1.35 to reach $11.99.
