Got in from SD last night with 42 miles to go in the electric G. Set the max charge level to 80%. Plugged in. Got in this morning, only at 71%. Why? Charger set to go from midnight to 7 am, which is long enough for the Optiq but not this jumbo battery.

One of these things is not like the other … Randomly but happily selected an open EA charger with a NACS plug. No adapter needed for the electric G. Holding steady at 200 kW. This was a seamless experience BTW. 20 slots here in SD hotel circle. SUCH a difference since the usual CF I had in the past

You know what?!? The G 580 Electric has improved for 2027! I was looking at the '26 numbers. According to this bad boy's monroney, it now gets 71 MPGe for a range of 249 miles (up from 239). Huzzah!!!
