Got lucky looking up and seeing this beautiful iridescent cloud in Exeter, NH, followed by scenes from my bike ride late this afternoon in Rollinsford, NH and Berwick, ME as an isolated downpour sat almost stationary about 10-15 miles northwest of here.

Quite cold today but we have a shot at hitting 60° later this week! On average, Boston's first 60° Day is Feb 3rd. Running late this year but considering this is our coldest winter in 10 years, makes sense. First 60° Day in 2015 wasn't until April 2nd!

Precipitation since early December has been close to normal but we are still carrying that huge rainfall deficit from Fall. Thankfully, a healthy snowpack across New England (esp VT, NH, ME) will provide much needed meltwater into the watersheds next few weeks.

FAA confirming it was an Army helicopter that hit the AA flight from Kansas. Some reports had it being an MPD chopper but MPD confirms its chopper is still in the air and assisting.
