Tail End of Summer 'In Reih und Glied' #FotoVorschlag #PletzfeldAnimals #photography #animals #AnimalPhotography #MastodonNeedsMoreCows #darktable #mywork #myphoto

You are standing in the middle of a lively, traditional Alpine cattle drive known as "Viehscheid." In the foreground and middle of the image, a large herd of cattle is gathered closely together, all seen from behind. The cows stand on lush, bright green grass. Their coats show a variety of warm colors — many are light brown, reddish-brown, or creamy beige, while others are white with large brown patches. Some animals have blue or colored markings painted on their backs, and a few wear halters or bells. Their tails hang down and their hind legs are firmly planted on the meadow. In the background, several large agricultural tractors are lined up along with trailers and transport vehicles. A group of people, mostly older men and women, are standing among and behind the animals. Some are wearing traditional clothing or hats, observing the scene. The atmosphere feels rural and festive, with the cattle being brought down from the high alpine pastures at the end of summer to be returned to their owners. The setting is outdoors on a green meadow with trees and rolling hills visible in the far distance. The overall mood is authentic, lively, and deeply rooted in Alpine farming tradition.

#SilentSunday 'Etwas aus Holz' #FotoVorschlag #PletzfeldMomentsInTime #photography #darktable #mywork #myphoto

A bright, sunny day in a lush green alpine meadow. A man is kneeling on a platform of scaffolding, actively carving a tall tree stump protruding from the ground into a large sculpture. The carver is wearing a blue short-sleeved shirt, light-colored shorts, and a blue work apron. In his right hand he holds a wooden mallet raised high, ready to strike, while his left hand holds a chisel against the wood. The sculpture is taking the shape of a young man. The carved areas show smooth, light-colored wood that contrasts with the dark, rough bark still covering parts of the tree trunk. Wood chips and shavings are scattered on the ground around the base. In the background, a majestic mountain range with snow-capped peaks rises under a clear, vivid blue sky. A tall conifer tree stands to the right, and the meadow is filled with green grass and small yellow wildflowers. The scene beautifully captures an artist at work on a large-scale outdoor woodcarving in a peaceful, scenic mountain landscape.

This is a black and white close-up photograph of a horse’s eye. The image fills the frame with the horse’s right eye, taken from a very close distance. The eye is in sharp, crisp focus, revealing incredible detail: long, delicate white eyelashes curve over the top of the dark, glistening eye. The skin and short fur around the eye show fine textures, wrinkles, and individual hairs. To the left, part of the horse’s dark mane flows into the frame, slightly out of focus, creating a soft contrast against the sharp eye. The eye itself has a bright, clear reflection on its surface — you can see the faint outline of what appears to be the photographer or the surrounding environment mirrored in the pupil. The entire photograph is rendered in rich monochrome tones — deep blacks, bright whites, and many shades of gray — which emphasize the textures of the coarse fur, the smoothness of the eyeball, and the fine strands of hair. The lighting highlights the curve of the eye and the eyelashes, giving the image a dramatic and intimate feel. The overall mood is calm, intense, and almost meditative — capturing the quiet strength and soulful expression often found in a horse’s gaze.

A large, long-haired tabby cat is lounging on top of a cardboard scratching post indoors. The cat has a thick brown-and-black striped coat with a fluffy mane around its neck and chest. Its large paws rest casually over the edge of the scratching post, giving it a relaxed yet confident appearance. The cat's face is turned slightly toward the camera. Its eyes are pale green and alert, and its long white whiskers fan out prominently from its muzzle. Distinctive tufts of fur extend from the tips of its ears, a feature often seen in Maine Coon cats. The background is softly blurred in shades of white and light gray, suggesting a bright indoor space. A pink curved section of the scratching post is visible in the lower left corner, adding a splash of color. Overall, the image conveys a calm, regal cat resting comfortably in a quiet home environment.

This is a sunny, peaceful outdoor photograph of a traditional wooden cabin. In the foreground, there is a gravel path. To the right, an old, weathered wooden bench with thick planks sits directly in front of the cabin wall. The bench looks sturdy but well-used. To the left of the bench stands a large terracotta flower pot placed on a tree stump. The pot is overflowing with bright pink and red geraniums in full bloom, creating a strong splash of vivid color. The cabin itself is made of vertical, warm brown wooden planks with visible wood grain and knots. In the center of the image is a double-pane wooden window with light-colored lace curtains visible inside. The glass reflects a bit of blue sky and clouds. Behind the cabin, a green grassy hillside slopes upward, dotted with small bushes and trees under bright daylight. #SilentSunday 'Wolken' #FotoVorschlag #PletzfeldNature #photography #nature #NaturePhotography #seascape #SeascapePhotography #sea #ocean #darktable #mywork #myphoto

This is a tranquil and atmospheric seascape photograph taken at sunset. The lower half of the image shows a wide, calm ocean that stretches all the way to the horizon. The water is dark blue with gentle ripples and catches a warm, glowing reflection of the setting sun — a bright orange-gold path of light that leads from the horizon directly toward the viewer across the surface of the sea. On the horizon line, slightly to the right of center, sits a small, bright white-orange sun just above the water. Around the sun, the sky glows with warm colors: vivid orange and golden yellow that gradually fade upward into soft pink, lavender, and finally into deep indigo and dark blue at the top of the image. The sky is filled with dramatic, layered clouds. Some clouds are dark and heavy, especially in the upper part of the frame, creating strong contrast. Others are illuminated from below by the sunset, showing softer edges with shades of purple, gray, and orange. The clouds give the sky a rich, textured, and moody feeling. Overall, the photograph has a peaceful yet dramatic mood — the vastness of the ocean meeting a colorful, cloudy sky at the moment of sunset.

Where Technology Meets Timeless Nature 'Windräder' #FotoVorschlag #PletzfeldNature #photography #nature #NaturePhotography #landscape #LandscapePhotography #seascape #SeascapePhotography #sea #ocean darktable #mywork #myphoto

This is a bright, sunny daytime photograph of a rugged coastal landscape overlooking the ocean. In the foreground, there is dark, rocky volcanic terrain with uneven black and reddish-brown stones and sparse dry vegetation. A light-colored dirt road winds through the lower left part of the scene. Standing tall against the horizon are four structures: on the far left, a very tall, slender red-and-white lattice communication tower rises high into the clear blue sky. To its right, three modern white wind turbines with three blades each are positioned along the cliff edge, with the largest one in the center being the most prominent, while two smaller ones stand further to the right. In the background, a vast, deep blue ocean stretches all the way to the horizon under a bright blue sky with just a few light clouds. The overall scene feels open, windy, and remote, with strong natural daylight creating sharp contrasts between the dark rocky ground, the white turbines, and the vivid blue sea and sky.

Plotting World Domination on the Cardboard Throne #PletzfeldAnimalFriends #DaffyTheCoon #photography #animals #cats #TabbyTuesday #CatsOfMastodon #darktable #mywork #myphoto

A close-up photograph of a beautiful, long-haired tabby cat lying on a cardboard cat scratcher. The cat, a Maine Coon, has a rich brown and black striped coat with lighter beige and cream fur on its chest and around its face. Its fur looks thick, soft, and slightly tousled. The cat is positioned in the center of the frame, looking directly forward toward the viewer with striking, bright greenish-yellow eyes that have a focused, slightly intense expression. Its large, pointed ears are upright and have visible tufts of fur at the tips. Long white whiskers extend from its muzzle. The cat is resting its body on a brown corrugated cardboard scratcher. The scratcher has a wavy, curved shape — one visible side is covered in white paper with a black swirl pattern. The cat’s front paws are relaxed, with one paw draped over the edge of the scratcher. The background is softly blurred, showing an indoor setting with warm natural light coming from the left side, suggesting a window with curtains. The overall mood of the photo is cozy and intimate, with beautiful lighting that highlights the cat’s fur texture.

El Drago Milenario, Tenerife. 'Touri-Hotspot' #FotoVorschlag #PletzfeldNature #photography #nature #NaturePhotography #landscape #LandscapePhotography #darktable #mywork #myphoto

You are standing on a sunny hillside overlooking a beautiful Canarian landscape. In the center of the image stands the magnificent Drago Milenario, an ancient Dragon Tree that is hundreds of years old. This extraordinary tree has a very thick, heavily textured trunk that looks like it is made of many thick, twisted, muscular branches growing together. It rises up and then dramatically spreads out into a wide, flat, umbrella-like canopy high above. The top of the tree is covered with thousands of long, stiff, sword-shaped leaves in a silvery blue-green color. To the right of the Dragon Tree, a tall, slender palm tree stands gracefully, its long fronds swaying at the top. In the foreground, there is lush, low-growing vegetation and rocky garden plants. On the far left you can see a white wall with a small decorative lantern. In the background, colorful houses — bright turquoise blue, yellow, and red — are nestled among the greenery on the terraced hillside. Behind them rise green, rugged mountains under a clear, bright blue sky. The overall atmosphere is warm, sunny, and peaceful — a perfect blend of dramatic nature and charming village scenery. The Drago Milenario dominates the image like a living sculpture, ancient and majestic.
