Finally done with Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition; both the main game and the Extra Story Future Connected are complete to my level of satisfaction. 172+ hours total compared to the 500+ I put into XC2, so clearly XC1 didn't hit me as hard, but overall I enjoyed my time with XC1: DE

Not exactly the same thing, but it reminds me of the fake brands in fiction that are intentional knock-offs of real-world brands to make the fictional world seem more real. One of my faves is Cowboy Bebop's "Pippu" soda (knock-off of Pepsi)

Finally I've finished my New Game Plus playthroughs of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and its story DLC Torna: The Golden Country to my level of semi-completionist satisfaction. A long, 535+ hour road. NG+ _may_ have been ill advised, but the game is still extremely special to me. A beautiful & flawed gem
