A couple images from today’s No Kings rally in my area. Good turnout and a lot of support from drivers going by. Thumbs up from nearly everyone.

My last shot from yesterday to share. One of the colorful pools near paint pots. Would’ve been nice if the wind hadn’t been blowing so hard and the surface was calm, but you take you get. #Photography #YellowstoneNationalPark #Geothermal #Nikon

A vivid photograph of a geothermal hot spring featuring a deep, crystal-clear turquoise pool at the center, surrounded by mineral terraces in shades of orange, rust, and white. The spring is set in a barren, sandy area with sparse grass and dead tree remains near the edges. In the background, a dense forest of tall green pine trees lines the horizon beneath a bright blue sky filled with scattered, fluffy white clouds. Captured with a Nikon Z9 at 17.5mm, f/6.3, 1/1000s, the image highlights the vibrant colors and natural beauty of the thermal landscape.

Here is a shot from Yellowstone National Park that I really liked. A friend suggested that I change it to black-and-white. It was only done in Photos on an iPad. I’ll try again with Lightroom. Thoughts? opinions? #Photography #Landscape #YellowstoneNP #Nikon #BlackAndWhite

A dramatic black-and-white photograph of a barren, desolate landscape filled with tall, dead trees stripped of their branches. The cracked, dry ground is scattered with fallen limbs and minimal vegetation, suggesting a harsh environment—possibly a geothermal area or the aftermath of a fire. Long shadows stretch across the ground, cast by the stark, skeletal tree trunks. In the distance, the land opens up toward a flat horizon under a sky filled with scattered clouds. Captured with a Nikon Z9 at 14mm, f/6.3, 1/6400s, the wide-angle view emphasizes the starkness and solitude of the scene.

A color photograph of a stark geothermal landscape with tall, dead trees standing in mineral-rich, cracked earth. The ground is bleached white and tan, with scattered vegetation and fallen branches. The trees, stripped of foliage and bark, appear ghostly against the vibrant blue sky filled with scattered clouds. In the distance, a dark tree line marks the boundary of the barren zone. The image conveys a sense of harsh beauty and environmental extremes. Captured with a Nikon Z9 at 14mm, f/6.3, 1/6400s.

I went out for a drive yesterday and ended up going through parts of Yellowstone National Park. Had a rental lens that I wanted to try out in that environment. #Photography #Landscapes #YellowstoneNP #Nikon

A wide-angle landscape photograph of a lush green valley with a winding river cutting through tall grasses and shrubs. The valley is flanked by forested hills, with one hillside partially cleared or recovering from disturbance. Puffy white clouds float across a vibrant blue sky, casting soft shadows on the landscape. The scene is peaceful and natural, captured using a Nikon Z9 with a 14mm lens at f/16 and 1/800 second exposure.

A tranquil landscape photo showing a calm reflective pond in the foreground, surrounded by lush green grass and a vast open meadow. The water mirrors the blue sky and scattered white clouds above. In the distance, a dense forest covers gently sloping hills, and a mountain rises on the left. A few ducks glide across the pond’s surface. A pine branch extends into the frame from the upper right. The image was taken with a Nikon Z9 at 16mm, f/16, 1/1250s, capturing fine detail and vibrant natural colors under bright daylight.

A serene landscape photo showing a still, narrow water channel reflecting the sky and nearby vegetation. The scene is framed by evergreen trees on both sides, creating a natural window that looks out onto a broad grassy meadow and forested mountain in the background. A lone, curved tree trunk leans over the water, adding visual interest. The sky is blue with scattered clouds, and the lighting is bright and clear. Captured with a Nikon Z9 at 22mm, f/16, 1/500s.

A telephoto image of a lone elk standing in the middle of a gently flowing river, surrounded by a peaceful natural setting. The elk is partially submerged, facing to the left, with its reflection visible in the water. The far riverbank is lined with tall grasses and purple wildflowers, with dense green trees rising behind. The scene is brightly lit by midday sun. Captured with a Nikon Z9 at 600mm, f/16, 1/160s, the photo emphasizes the calm, remote feel of the wilderness.

Got a chance to download the full res and adjust the lighting. Pretty happy for a first try at these little guys. My spirit animal! #Hummingbird #Nikon #Photography #SummerInSeattle #Birds #BackyardPhotography

A hummingbird hovers in midair, feeding from a red and white plastic nectar feeder. Its wings are spread wide, frozen in motion, and its beak is inserted into one of the feeder’s ports. The background is a smooth green gradient, suggesting a natural outdoor setting. Tiny droplets or particles are suspended in the air, and the photo is signed “2025 – Jordan Petram” in the bottom right corner.

@schumer.senate.gov you need to step down now. You have no idea how to fight the fight we are in and you have just given over the entire US government to a Russian asset. At this point, America may be lost and you're the one who set the charge that sank it. I'm beyond disgusted.

So tomorrow is the one day blackout. I was reading a great article that points out that a one day block out when averaged over the quarter won’t even be viewable. It’s time for people to stop all discretionary spending for as long as you can not a day not a week but maybe months.

All ready to mix sourdough tomorrow. Milled and sifted 2400g of flour. A 6:4:1 ratio of Rouge de Bordeaux, spelt, and rye. This should give me enough for four bakes when mixed with strong bread flour at a ratio of 6:4 #Sourdough #HomeMilled #Flour

I’m bringing this one back to the top. Seriously folks, no discretionary spending. One, It will allow you to create a financial buffer which it’s looking more and more like we’re all going to need. Two, it will hurt the companies that support Trump. Support local whenever you can.
