i can't emphasize enough how helpful this side project was for fixing my main project (as well as developing my art style more in general). I've learned stuff like how i've been relying on gradients and airbrushes too much and how i should've emphasize the "cel shading" part of my style more.

So yea i was getting really frustrated with my main project, and a friend of mine gave me a suggestion to take a break and work on something else in the meantime. So i started working on this as a simpler side project.

That side project legit saved this illustration, i figured out how to shade and color it the way i want it to look from that side project instead of just throwing random crap and hoping that it'll look good. I'll send that side project right after im done sharing this one.

Happy New Year everyone! Ngl i feel like could've done more last year, but i still think i did better than in 2024 I feel like i could’ve done so much more if i wasn’t so scared of taking risks and being dedicated to my projects. So i guess that's gonna be my new year's resolution.

It’s my birthday today. Man this year went by so much faster than last year, and last year was already fast. I’d usually make a short animation on each of my birthdays, but i’ve been pretty busy with another animation project atm. So here’s an illustration instead (with a bit of animation)

Gonna try to be more active in here soon. Thesis animation got me extremely burnt out. I still feel a bit tired even though I've already finished it in July, but i think im at a significantly better place at this point.
