This Jesus parade was joyous for the participants, but holy hell for everyone else, especially car traffic. We had no warning this extremely large event was being visited upon us. The city of Toronto totally failed everyone who was caught up in this mess. There were no signs, or barely any PDOs.

Wish I did, but I did just make these (again) a few hours ago, can recommend. They'r similar genre to shortbread but with almond flour. Very tasty, easy & quick to make.

Recipe ripped from a dental office magazine.

Ingredients:
powdered sugar plus more to coat

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup almond flour

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp orange zest (I use a whole orange's worth of zest.)

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
½/2 tsp salt
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a stand mixer with paddle attachment, cream together butter and ½ cup powdered sugar.
Add all-purpose flour, almond flour, vanilla extract, orange zest and salt. Mix until dough is combined and forms a ball.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and roll dough into 1-1.5 inch balls.
Bake for 13-15 minutes, or until bottoms are light brown.
Let cool slightly and, while still warm, roll in powdered sugar.
Let cool before storing.

Got back to the kitchen, radio was at a normal volume. Minute later, the remote which i'd tossed onto the table (thinking the saga was over) suddenly came to life, & the dulcet tones of CBC's Ismaila Alfa accelerated to warp 75 on the volume level. Why did Bose design it to be heard on the moon? 🫠

At first, it doesn't feel remotely possible that I'll find this needle in a haystack. But I analyze the video, & expand my area of interest. This pays off! I find it (black side up). Absolutely the Matrix, loves dicking me around. Reunited, but not the happy ending I was hoping for...
