My new co-authored paper! We explore the historical roots of "conscientious objection" in healthcare and find an unprincipled basis for its introduction. Today, the practice undermines patient autonomy and health and costs lives. We propose strategies for phasing out belief-based care denial.

My co-authored article was just published. It's open access. In the article, we note the evidence against belief-based care denial, refute fallacies in the views that support the practice, and recommend measures to reduce the number of care deniers over time.

This. We get emails from folks wanting to help Americans coming to Canada for abortions. But that's not a thing. Tips: Learn about actual needs and practicalities before jumping into anything. Don't duplicate efforts already established by others. Focus on access problems for Canadians first.
