Ran my first real event through my SvelteKit / Directus powered platform. Had 128 crafters in-room and 100+ following along on the Mux live stream. Was running all of the A/V & streaming off of a single Macbook. Next step is a full NDI and a new audio chain. All OBS overlays are all made Svelte

lol that would be awesome but it's pretty "in the city" for how abandoned it is I hit it on a few of my rides as it sits between two sets of trails and functions as the perfect connector

There is a fantastic stretch of abandoned road in South KC that is open to bicycles. the vibes are ☢️

A new favorite Choc v1 switch has emerged. Silent twilight's are a close second. Really enjoy how light these are to type on

Can't tell if I am fighting scrapers or if this was just a spike in organic traffic. I added origin based challenges via cloudflare in the middle of the spike, but the drop-off wasn't as immediate as I thought. 🤷

I earned this one, ordered the PCBs and soldered it myself. Took at least 5 attenpts and a lot of soldering practice later but I got it working. Weteor 3w6: github.com/weteor/3W6

Made a quick demo of my workflow, including how the Windows VM behaves in Hyprland. Got to flex my desktop a bit.. been building it out for two years at this point. Includes copy/pasting between Adobe Illustrator and Inkscape with nothing more than a shared clipboard.

this thing really helps when you have an endless supply of USB cables lying around.

copying a path in Adobe Illustrator (running in a vm) and pasting directly into Inkscape in Linux. Shared mouse, shared clipboard between the two systems..

got gpu passthrough working today. windows vm on a baremetal gt 1030 with seamless mouse and shared clipboard through looking glass. it just runs in a window like any other app. windows subsystem for linux, the hard way

cool site, reminds me of flash sites of yore headsup: blog posts not rendering in firefox

this took way longer than I wanted it to take, but I got my windows subsystem for linux w/ hardware passthrough working. windows display is running directly on the tiny geforece 710 hardware and the output is displayed in a hyprland window the way it works is kinda crazy looking-glass.io

so I've been building a visual editor with Svelte and SVG tech and it's getting kind of crazy...

on arch/hyprland it works fine in firefox, chromium, and zen. I was able to get an error testing in Waterfox (minimal firefox fork)

I'm in the same boat. Web dev who is also a linux nerd. I was just raw dogging QML (like xml) in neovim using this tutorial as a base www.tonybtw.com/tutorial/qui... I also built my own emoji selector: but its just a shell script + rofi building stuff is so fun :)

There is so much more to build, including the backend live streaming with chat, session info, and instructor bios all in one view. Mux for HD video. Live transcripts coming soon. Cloudflare durable objects to hold the chat state?

All of the interactive parts (that make sense) are hooked into Directus' realtime services. Real-time notifications, thread replies, post reactions, all across the platform. Directus WebSocket subscriptions with automatic polling fallback.

Post-purchase task system guides attendees through forms, community intros, logistics. Ticket dashboard handles multiple tickets, transfers, QR codes. Tasks auto-detect completion. Deadlines apply sensible defaults.

Full ticketing. Timed windows, multiple tiers, add-ons, installment payments, transfers, refunds. No third-party fees. Stripe Elements via svelte-stripe. Webhooks handle the rest. thanks @joshnuss.com for Stripe Elements.

Built a polymorphic threading system. One thread/post schema, foreign keys to boards, images, galleries, articles, sessions. Lazy thread creation on first comment. No separate comment tables. Built an editor using tip-tap that is good enough to run a blog off of.. so I added blogging for all.

It's an arts event platform. People come to the event, make art, and want to share it, discuss it, connect with each other. The community shouldn't disappear when the event ends. and people are leaving facebook (awesome), and need a place to share.

Waiting... Tickets for the next large live event I am producing go on sale in 2 hours. Last year sold out. I've spent the last two months rebuilding the entire project into a social event platform with art sharing baked in. Really excited about the possibilities. SvelteKit / Stripe / Directus...

I was dealing with this all last night, and I liked it very much.

A semi regular reminder that you can just do cool stuff on linux. I had to update some configs, so I touched up my theme switcher while I was in my dotfiles. Crazy wallpaper switch effect, right? Just add a `-t random` flag to the swww command and it randomizes it. #linux #wayland

Someone from China (or vpn) has had their ship parked on my site's homepage for like two weeks.. they either left their browser tab open and forgot or they just want to represent.
