Got a strike on Tiktok for saying that if nothing else is done to them, we should Brock Turner the Cornell 7. Keep track of them, where they live, what they do, and regularly remind people on social media of what they did and where they are now. #cornelluniversity #makethempay

Therapist: "And what have you been up to?" Me: Accidentally started a new religion. Her: ... Okay... tell me more? Me: *talks of wanting rituals and peace but finding curiosity, wonder and geeking out* ...and other people like it too. Her: I wish I knew you outside of work. #Philosophy #Religion

I was thinking about a Fahrenheit 451 reread but then I realized how depressing it might be right now. Especially on the heels of Tau Zero. This quote is accurate AF, though. #CriticalThinkng #MediaLiteracy #SciFi #ReadingCommunity ##Booksky

"But you can't make people listen. They have to come round in their own time, wondering what happened and why the world blew up around them. It can't last."

Watching The Wandering Earth 2 for the first time and I am so happy I finally gave it a chance. (Dismissed it as a cash grab after the success of the first.) It is thoroughly entertaining and the visuals are top notch. #TheWanderingEarth2 #ScienceFictiom #ScifiMovies #Filmsky

"Nothing was left save to abide." Maybe this is why. Why the book resonates so strongly right now. The crew of the Leonora Christine have to face absolute bleakness and still charge forward. Not with hope, but out of an unwillingness to give up. #ScifiBooks #quotes #Booksky #TauZero

"Nothing was left save to abide."

Maybe this is why. Why the bookI
resonates so strongly right now. Because I feel like there is nothing left to do besides abide. Because the crew of the Leonora Christine have lost everything that that they ever had save their existence and now the only thing they can do is go full speed ahead and hope for the best even when they know its basically hopeless.

Do not buy these books if you want a full story. He ends this one right at the explosion happens. I don't mind multiple books but each should tell a full story. Not end abruptly mid-action. Nothing in the Title Details tells you that you aren't getting the full book, either. #Audiobooks #Bookstodon

Serious question: Why do we monitor the Yellowstone super volcano? If it goes off, like 80% of the USA is quickly screwed, the rest is just screwed at a slower rate. We can't stop it and evacuation would be pretty much useless so.... why? #Yellowstone #Supervolcano #Geology #Science
