Some silly little prints before bed… #linocut #dnd #October #printmaking

Silly little spooky season prints all in black ink; a goblin’s face with mini pumpkins for eyes on orange card, an imp hiding under a witch’s hat on purple card and a bullywug (froglike humanoid) brandishing a spear, on green card

Having a chilled couple of days after a lot of moving furniture - and managing to injure my hand slightly! I’m taking a partial break from printmaking (I’ve carved a couple of silly plates and may still do some test prints later…)

Finally built up the courage to turn my big Tiamat lino plate into a jigsaw… and here’s one of her solo heads! #linocut #printmaking #dnd #dragon

Experimenting with a slightly more abstract style is interesting but I don’t know if it’s really me. I like the result here, though!

A large shoulder-up portrait on A2 card of a tiefling woman with a broken horn (ostensibly Karlach from Baldur’s Gate 3). Black ink on red.
Very much a style experiment but I rather like it!

The results of my afternoon’s plate carving session. #displacerbeast #dnd #linocut #printmaking

A print of a displacer beast (a black panther-like creature, but with six legs and two tentacles sprouting from its shoulders, each ending in a paddle-shaped mass of spikes). Black ink on white card.

The same print, but this time I added some purple ink to the black, on blue card

Enjoying this helm design. Armour and weapons often give you a chance to experiment with fun shapes and textures, and an excuse to get the metallic inks out!

Open-faced helm print designs on card hung up to dry. There are cheek guards and a ridged crown on the helmet and other sections have indentations. There are prints in black ink on mint green card, black ink on sky blue card, yellow ink on sky blue card, black ink on gold yellow card, black ink on hot pink card and black ink on brown card.

A closer shot of the black on yellow and black on hot pink card designs.

What a colourful morning sky!

A hurried photo out of a skylight window with houses on the side of a valley. The focus is the sky; low seeming clouds streaked with lots of orange and hot pink - very beautiful!

Which colour combo do you like? #dnd #beholder #linocut #printmaking

A beholder (multi-eyed demon head with big sharp teeth) print; green ink on almost neon yellow card

Same beholder print but this time purple ink on white card, and purple ink on hot pink card.

Another couple of different colour combos for the beholder print; teal ink on green card and teal ink on white card
