Dungeon Meshi · Manga Sales Evolution Japan Only The anime came when it was ending, so there was not a big explosion. Even more when this manga was huge some time ago, at its first years of publication. Even so, during the anime it got a good boost in sales.

TOP WEEKLY BEST-SELLING MANGA 04 - 10 November · Japan For the first time since 2008 (for sure) and maybe since around volume 15-20 judging from print data, a new One Piece volume fails to achieve 1 M copies sold in its first two weeks on sale.

Seitokai ni mo ana wa aru! has 900,000 copies in circulation for vols 1-5 The comedy shonen series of the moment. It's super fun, I like how "up to date" it is with its jokes, not just japanese, but also internet gags and so. Also, its "lewd" tone is very in sync with its teenage public

Kagurabachi and Mamayuyu volumes will be receiving reprints later this month Mainly meaning these two new Jump series had a great start. Even though, usually, new series get initial underprinted to reduce potential losses and so. Still pretty great starts!!

Studio Ghibli becoming an NTV subsidiary is a natural consequence of their necessity to change a model with no future, as well as the very close & personal relationship between the two companies. It ensures Ghibli's future, but it also makes me a bit less interested in their continued existence
