Less than a month ago, Albanese was on Italian television talking nonsense about how the term antisemitism didn't come about to refer specifically to Jews and said that Jews were labeled "Muslims" in concentration camps. www.algemeiner.com/2026/09/28/u...

Albanese just is antisemitic. You can agree with lots of her criticism of Israel (and I do) and think that allegations of antisemitism targeting her include many in bad faith (and, again, I do), but she's also antisemitic. The record is pretty damning at this point.

NY has had fluctuations in statewide races for decades; Hochul being up double digits is a significant improvement over her '22 performance (+7). Schumer has won by as much as 40 and been as close as 10. "If things trend forever..." OK, but they never do.

The fact that Laura Ingraham actually nailed the price of butter ($4.03/pound on the Fed data) shows that at least some people at Fox are basically aware of the affordability issues and the administration’s lies.

This is the best statement I have seen on this awful day. Condemning the indefensible, genocidal actions of the state of Israel without minimizing or rationalizing the war crimes committed on 10/7 itself.

What’s wild about this is that (if you watch the clip) Collins really thought she was cooking with “well, for a year more than three decades ago, I didn’t have insurance” as though people were going to miss the fact that shes got it free from the government ever since.

The only Dem who seems to actually be taking this posture is Bill Foster, and I think Foster will largely do whatever party leadership says. But he’s comfortable with this posture because he beat back a terrible carpetbagging primary from the left in the ‘24 cycle. (IYKYK)

From a public speaking standpoint, I found Jackson underwhelming and I think he needs better prep on presentation. But he clearly did a good of raising key points. The big stuff for me seems to be Collins just walking face first into campaign spots, like “well I didn’t have health care in 1994.”

There’s an important counter factual question as to whether (if the tech actually worked) whether the company would be responsible for setting up a network of 4A violations. But for now the defects in the product should be bankrupting Flock.

Flock’s defense in the Columbine Valley package theft lawsuit is that the issue is police misconduct. That seems correct. But when they insist “our technology works” it’s critical to point out that it doesn’t. Appreciate the Sun reporting that well. coloradosun.com/2026/10/06/f...

Sometimes my wife and I like to send each other text messages as though they’re democratic fundraising messages, and I believe she has produced the jewel of the form.
, it's
and I
have some personal news to share with you.
Being a mom is one of the greatest joys of my life, and I feel deeply that we should have salad tonight
This year has been challenging in many ways, and I have immense gratitude for the kindness and support of family, community, and people like you who have continued to stand by me through everything. It means the world, and I wanted you to be among the first to know that squash is in the oven and kale is in the fridge. As many of you are aware, ve been navigating one of the most challenging periods of my day while waiting for dinner.
Facing baseless federal hunger brought on by not eating since lunch, fighting for the working kids of this country, and now caring for a mean toddler and helping him grow up in a world that isn't always easy. But it has also reminded me exactly why I do this work and who I do it for.
I will never stop working to eat dinner. I will never stop fighting for what is right, even when there is also some feta in the fridge. And I will never stop being so very thankful that you are by my side in this important work and that there is tahini in the pantry for dressing
With love and gratitude,
stop to end

Notice how the headline frames Cuba as the potential lawbreaker: a ship is “intercepted” while “smuggling” oil into the country. What the headline obscures is that the U.S. is the one violating international law by imposing an oil blockade on Cuba and hijacking oil shipments bound for the island.

The public has generally not had the attention to be interested in addressing cost overruns in projects or outright product failures, and so it’s been difficult to get attention. If I were advising @markwarner.bsky.social or @captmarkkelly.bsky.social, I’d be heavily focused on this.

A lot of people rightly see this as a terrible, wasteful program. I’d suggest that smart Democrats concerned with Defense budget and industry reform should instead see it a springboard for a massive investigative effort into fraud in military contracts.

Any reasonable ethics reform policy would bar Rahm Emanuel for running for office over the extensive violations of transparency, lobbying, and government contracting practices. Any reasonable Democratic Party would run Emanuel out of town for his awful policy record and moral character.

The conservative analysis (the number based on vacancies, not on improving teacher-student ratio) puts the US teacher shortage at almost a half million. There’s also a (less easily quantified) social worker shortage, and both professions are getting worse.

Refusing to provide student loans for social work degrees because we don’t pay social workers enough to recover the costs of a student loan is a dumbass policy proposal. And anyone who supports it is a dumbass.

I think as a broad sport, jiu-jitsu culture is really bad, though I don't know how much worse it is than other hyper-masculinized sport. But I appreciate that there are a lot of small subcommunities within BJJ (including particular gyms) that have amazing cultures. Very grateful to have that.

There is a huge personal debt market in the United States; that's not necessarily bad when it's helping people finance responsibly at reasonable rates, but what we learned from the '08 crisis is... that's now what these lenders do anymore.

Colin Robinson is obviously wrong about the broad economic data, but I think it's worth pointing out that while *bank loan* delinquency rates are basically fine, that ignores basically every other debt market (credit cards, private credit, medical debt, student loans).

This is part of why any candidate dropping back away from protecting trans people right now should be regarded as a coward or a bigot, because the refusal to stand up for the dignity of people under attack is a basic litmus test for moral character. Dems were a disgrace in '04, and many still are.
