Hey folks, I've been kinda quiet lately, but its because I've been spending my time expanding my skillset and tackling a solo project I'm calling Scraplings. It's still early on, but I've got a quick overview of the movement mechanics here www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Uw6...

Been kinda quiet since the whole death of Destiny thing, but I've been keeping busy working on my solo project, and I've been keeping sort of a dev-blog on my instagram if you wanted to see more. www.instagram.com/joshkulinski/

I feel old as hell seeing PS3 games listed as “classic games” on the PS Store

I sincerely thought Bungie was going to be my forever home in this industry. Alas, I'm back on the job market. I'm immensely proud of the work I got to do on Destiny, and the people I got to build an experience of a lifetime with.

Despite everything else going on with Destiny at least we can all finally agree Oryx is in the BACK of the room. :p

Looks like some folks are playing a beta build of Star Wars First Assault, a game I worked on as a junior designer, very early in my career. I can't say much, but just seeing folks playing it for the first time warms my heart.

I feel like the Team Rocket outfit is the only acceptable outfit for my Ditto in Pokopia, with the amount of stealing that I'm doing on the regular. Goes to an island: "Oh I'll take that wall, and that table, and the road..."

Haven’t gotten the Taken Crystal yet, but I do get the Magenta one to drop today so it’s something.

Sorry I’ve been so inactive on here lately folk. 2025 has been a wild year. Lots of challenges, lots of growth, and I’ve just sorta been heads down. Things at Bungie are good, I’m working on a solo project in my free time again and I’m down 50lbs since the start of summer. I’ll try to post more

Ai really fucked up Pinterest. It used to be great for finding artists now it’s all slop.

Legends ZA is far from my favorite entry in the series but it’s been pretty generous for shiny hunting so I’ll take it.

050

Josh Kulinski @joshkulinski.bsky.social · 20/10/2025

I don’t think I’ve ever played a game that needed to have mantling mechanics in it more than Legends ZA

So close to the Shundo… but I’ll take it.

Pokemon really needs to add VO to these games at this point. At least for the primary cutscenes.

Time to boycott Sinclair, and the folks who advertise on their networks. Disney responded when their purses got hit, we can do the same to these companies. www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news...

Decided to restart Trigun (the original anime) again, as I havent seen it in like ~20 years, and its still amazing. Still right up there with Cowboy Bebop.

Sorry I’ve not been as active here as of late. 2025 has been a tough year for me personally and I’ve taken a little step back from social media. That said things are starting to get a little better so I might get back to posting more in a bit.

Wanted this damned shiny since 2000. Feels good to finally have it.

Think it might be time for another playthrough of the Arkham games. Few other single player games get me to come back over and over no matter how many years go by.

I really do enjoy Dr. Squatch’s products. Only time I’ve ever found myself just sitting around sniffing bars of soap because I like the smell so much.

It’ll never happen. But I think James Gunn could make a live action Dragonball movie work.

Still can’t get over how much I enjoyed Superman. Literally teared up out of joy twice.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen the world react to the passing of a single person like I’ve seen with Ozzy over the past two days. Genuinely a legend.

Okay Sorry Expedition 33. DK Bananza is GOTY. It’s definitely not the most challenging game, but like Astrobot last year, it’s one of the most joyous games I’ve ever played. The mechanics sing and the world is filled with charm and polish. 10/10

1170

Josh Kulinski @joshkulinski.bsky.social · 20/07/2025

Okay. No spoilers but DK Bananza might have the best final boss fight I’ve ever played in my life.

Josh Kulinski @joshkulinski.bsky.social · 20/07/2025

Mine Cart levels in DK games are still some of my favorites.

What I said on the live stream a few weeks back is true. I really wanna hear your feedback about The Edge of Fate. Tell me what you like and what you don’t. Note: I can’t promise any changes, but I can promise to listen to what ya have to say.

Josh Kulinski @joshkulinski.bsky.social · 15/07/2025

Pretty excited for The Edge of Fate to launch tomorrow. The team worked incredibly hard getting all of the updates in for this release, and I'll be very interested to hear what you all think.

Honestly can’t stop thinking about how good Superman was. And so happy I am that they did the character right. I won’t give any spoilers that the trailers don’t already show, but the Kaiju fight was the moment I knew for sure that this was going to be the best version of Superman we’ve ever seen.
