Nothing shows my age more than the fact I still buy wrestling DVDs. But there are various reasons - some of these events are only available in low quality, or from the TV airings, or not at all. This is why I have 11 TB of Joshi events, but I'm a dying breed. Going to be a fun week though.

Catching up on Joshi by watching the bigger matches. Like Saori Anou vs. Tomoka Inaba in JUST TAP OUT on 9/1/23, a match probably only seen by a few hundred people. Great match though.

I'm not saying this is bad but I am curious what type of wrestling clips will get this label and which won't. In theory a lot of wrestling looks violent, but will only clips with blood trigger the label? Not that I plan on pushing it, interested in seeing what else will get the graphic media label.

Yumiko Hotta was one of Asuka's trainers and she had a unique way of introducing her students to the world of professional wrestling. This was approximately six months into Asuka's career (this was all that was shown on the DVD). #Joshi #Wrestling

I spent many years trying to find Kana's (aka Asuka) debut match on 6/16/04 vs. Leon as it didn't "make tape" at the time. I finally found a DVD that showed 30 seconds of it. As far as I know this is all that has been released so far, maybe one day the rest will be unearthed! #Joshi #Wrestling

GAEA Japan was huge in the late 1990s, very "sports entertainment" at times but they had a lot of great wrestlers. This clip is from Lioness Asuka and Mayumi Ozaki vs. Toshiyo Yamada and KAORU on 1/17/99. (the tube was under her arm, minimal choke risk but still a hell of a visual) #Joshi #Wrestling
