I've seen a wide variety of examples of this, but here's a specific: that prompt engagement bait that Claude Code / ChatGPT always puts at the end. "here's all this stuff I've done automatically for you. Oh by the way, thought about this other thing? Want be to do more??"
Claude code output saying: I also updated Phase 1 scope (first campaign = eslint-suppressions; skip GitHub-issue discovery on day 1) and the §12 checklist (write TRIAGE.md, warm the yarn cache for offline tests, set the branch prefix to your jh/ convention), plus the project memory.

One judgment call worth surfacing: the suppressions menu has 618 entries — the agent will burn meaningful tokens browsing code to triage well. The split design caps that (cheap triage budget separate from implement), but if you want, a cheap pre-clustering step (group the menu by directory × rule deterministically before triage) would cut triage cost further. Want me to add that as an explicit optimization, or leave the agent full discretion?

Made a better movie listings site for the chain i have membership for, because they make it hard to see all the times at once! It's dense, shows all times for multiple movies and branches all at once. Just for me, but technically open source for other uk cinema nerds github.com/joshhunt/eve...

Perfect letterboxd moment. You watch a masterpiece. See it averages 3 stars. Everyone you follow gave it 5/5.

I greatly prefer the VS Code UI for reviewing changes from the LLM, but find Claude Code to be 'smarter'. VS Code's new Chat UI supposedly supports Claude (Code?), but found it to be fairly buggy in the past...

What does it mean if i can throw every random idle thought at an LLM and have it churn away on it in the background, at practically zero cost to you? There's a big attractive nuisance here - here's 9 different tasks I have in flight at the moment. Most I will not pick back up!!!

It’s kind of funny watching Battlestar Galactica, where a humanoid race evolved independently from Earth, yet converged on the same pinstripe shirt and tie, and dry-erase whiteboard

LLM/AI for programming is so genuinely useful, but I still chuckle how every time you tell it to fix a typescript error it just goes fuck it - `as any`

proof that the concept works! Auth-ing to Plex and reading the library (surprisingly easy!) Generating a transcode URL (manually) Clipping a video using ffmpeg, fast-seeking to the right part without requiring loading the entire video

working on something that can generate clips from videos from your plex library. you tell it the portion you want to clip, and it'll stream it from plex and make the clip!

How can you, with a straight face, call this better? Does this even contain a text box? This was made by someone who hates computers and despises this functionality existing at all.

Before/After for energy consumption in my home office since switching to working from my Mac instead of big gaming PC. Reduced power consumption by about 60%. And this is with an extra monitor and thunderbolt dock, etc!
Before graph showing power usage for 1 week is 24.7 kWh, costing £6.20After graph showing power usage for 1 week is 15.2 kWh, costing £3.89

When I say Wicked part 2 is like Avengers: Endgame for gay people, I meant it in the way that it’s the only thing this three screen cinema is playing tonight.

Watching movies - just plain 2D movies - in it is probably the best part about it. It's the one thing where it offers a unique experience compared to just... using a real computer. I watched the first Now You See Me last night, and liked it enough to watch the second one in the headset as well.

@liss.bsky.social I trust this is all SwiftUI funkiness and not your fault - but it’s so strange that the button touch target is a different size than the the liquid glass touch target?!? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen the inverse in other apps - where you get the liquid blob animation but no action 🥴

"Ahh, passwords" @rmondello.com 😉 Ironically the only rule i am satisfying is that they match!
Empty Password/Confirm fields as a part of account creation that shows it incorrectly matching "minimum 8 characters, at least one lowercase, uppercase, special character, and number".

I don’t believe this for one moment.
Bin that says “use any bin. Well sort it. we’ll recycle it. Everything goes for separation and recycling.”

There’s recycling, trash, and dog poop icons.

I feel so exceptionally fortunate to have seen Evita tonight. Rachel Ziegler is ferocious, and Jamie Lloyd gave it such an infectious kinetic energy. I had (rainbow) high expectations, and it exceeded them by a mile.

Is iOS 26 automatically embossing (is that the name of the effect) third party apps to match the new glass style? There’s the border style, but look at Spotify, Bluesky, Discord, Ruddarr, and Sable. Pretty sure they all look different now. But it’s left other icons alone.

It is undeniable, from my experience, that ChatGPT answers questions that Google cannot. “Find me the website” is supposed to be THE THING that Google does.
Google search for “website that’s shows if your types are exported correctly from npm package”
