Wasn't pretty, but Edwin Diaz gets it done. A big 5th inning off of Chris Sale gave enough support to Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who was absolutely brilliant in the playoffs once again. Kiké Hernandez lit the fuse with a huge swing. Tyler Glasnow goes tomorrow to try and end it.

Much better 8th inning for Tanner Scott.

That's not good. Miguel Rojas fouls off a pitch, and felt something. He's out of the game, and Tommy Edman is finishing the At Bat.

Offense needs to score more runs. I do not feel comfortable with the bullpen in a 2 run game.

Let Yoshi come out for the 7th, but go batter to batter.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto gets into trouble, but escapes with only one run allowed. 3-1 Dodgers after 5.

That's just a selfish challenge by Shohei Ohtani.

Fuck Yeah Freddie! Why don't you go ahead and boo THAT Atlanta! 3-0 Dodgers!

Kiké Hernandez once again in October! 2-0 Dodgers!

Andy Pages with a base hit to start the 4th. That's right, he got a hit off Chris Sale.

Miguel Rojas needs to take a pitch there. Another wasted opportunity.

Mauricio Dubón robs Freddie Freeman off extra bases, and possibly a 2 run homer. Heck of a play.

Good news, Dodgers are making Chris Sale work. Already at 42 pitches. The bad news, the Dodgers have already struck out 6 times.

A scoreless 1-2-3 1st inning for Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

The Dodgers got Chris Sale to throw some pitches. Otherwise, that was a pretty ugly Top of the 1st.

Manifesting a Mookie Betts leadoff home run.

I like the lineup. Getting Ohtani out of the top of the order should hopefully take some pressure off of him. Betts and Freeman have success against Sale. Just have to hope Smith or Teo can get a big hit.

Shohei Ohtani dropped to 5th. Kiké Hernandez in the lineup, at 3rd base. Miguel Rojas at 2nd base. Tommy Edman out of the lineup. Dave Roberts shaking things up.

Both ALDS series might be sweeps.

The thing that bothers me about the Dodger hitters is their refusal to take walks. Instead of passing the baton, like they usually do, they've become prone to chase. They all want to become the hero. The quality of ABs just aren't there compared to previous years.

I'm not going to sit here and say the Dodgers have no shot in this series or the rest of the way. But the offense has me concerned. All season they've shown that they can't get the big hit when it matters, and it happened tonight. You can't win solely on home runs.

Well, Josue De Paula got his chance. But he popped up to end the game. A very frustrating game. As shaky as the pitching was, the offense simply let this team down. Too many missed opportunities. Dodgers have scored 7 runs, all off homers. Series shifts to Atlanta.

Mad Max Muncy! 1 run game. 3-2 Atlanta.

A double for Michael Harris II. Matt Olson scores. 3-1 Braves. That's a huge run for Atlanta.

Edwin Diaz looked good. That's encouraging.

Josh Gitt @joshgitt1214.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Another blown opportunity. Right now, the Dodgers can only score runs when they hit homers.

Mookie Betts walks, and Shohei Ohtani singles to start the 5th. Will Smith needs to come through here.

Teoscar Hernandez just played that into a triple.

Blake Snell does not even make it out of the 4th inning. If they don't win this game, the Dodgers will rightfully be questioned for starting him over Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
