I did a fed trial in VT in 2012. US alleged that the def drove a parent & child from VA to Canada to dodge custody orders in VA & VT. I unsuccessfully argued that trial must occur where conduct did: VA, NY, states in between. But not VT. I appreciate that this 9-0 ruling is consistent with my view.

I grew up with conservatives talking about taxes as stealing. That’s not really true when our representatives pass laws to raise or lower taxes, but it *is* true when Trump imposes illegal tariffs and uses lawsuits as a ruse to cut checks from the treasury to himself and others.

When we think about Trump’s plan in Iran, it is important to remember that he’s an idiot. Trump’s thought process is big army beats small army. For example, Trump praised Putin’s invasion of Ukraine as “smart”. Four years later, Russia controls much less land & has had nearly 1.3m KIA / wounded.
