Okay, but isn’t destroying 3 of 33 just about exactly decimation?
Headline and summary from the NYTimes:
Secret Assessments
Contradict U.S. Claims of Decimation

Iran has operational access to 30 of its 33 missile sites along the Strait of Hormuz, suggesting a far stronger military than President Trump has portrayed.

Amazing work. Didn't match the font, left an extra THE (or they take it off and leave it uncentered).
Image of the Kennedy Center after Trump added his name to the text so it now reads "The Donald J. Trump and The John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts" with "The Donald J. Trump and" on a separate line in an unmatched font, looking obviously out of place.

I have so many thoughts
Headlines from Techmeme about Anthropic Claude 4: One about how it has stricter safety limits because it could be used to help a novice make biological weapons, one about how it "often" tried to blackmail engineers by threatening to reveal person info, and on the bright side one about how it might alert the press or regulators if it detects immoral behavior.

What a paragraph. “Look what you made us do”
Visualizing how this large number of cellstates relates to another is difficult because the GESs are objects in a very high-dimensional space. The approach that is currently by far most popular in the field is to use stochastic embedding methods that attempt to place cells that are close in gene expression space near each other in a 2-dimensional plane, in particular UMAP
[37] and t-SNE [38]. However, it is well appreciated that proper application of these tools is challenging [39], and that beyond a very rough approximate conservation of nearest neighbor relationships, all other structures in these visualizations are virtually meaningless. In fact, we share the opinion of some in the field that the current usage of t-SNE and UMAP visualizations may be doing more harm than good. Nonetheless, since such visualizations have become the de facto standard in the field, and anticipating the request to see where cells from identical cellstates map in such a visualization, we decided prov

I keep staring at the terrible kerning in this. Do better web browsers.
Headline: "U.A.W. Goes on Strike Against Detroit's Big Three"

The space between U and A in the headline is tight, but there is huge apparent space between the A and W.

Don’t piss off Wikipedia.
In May 2023, Ramaswamy's campaign admitted that he had paid an editor to alter his Wikipedia biography before announcing his candidacy, but denied that it was politically motivated. Forbes reported Ramaswamy may have paid an editor to alter his Wikipedia page to appear more favorable to political conservatives before announcing his campaign by removing references to his Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans postgraduate fellowship and his involvement with the Ohio COVID-19 Response Team. Paul and Daisy Soros are respectively the elder brother and sister-in-law of businessman and social activist George Soros, who has been the subject of numerous conspiracy theories among American conservatives. Ramaswamy's campaign denied attempting to "scrub" his Wikipedia page and argued the edits were revisions of "factual distortions".
