I'm gonna be honest. The last month has been HARD. I haven't done a single stitch of creative anything since the inauguration. My husband is the sole money maker and he's a federal worker. His job has been up in the air and the stress levels have been insane.

People: wow the flu is so bad this year! Me: *aggressively pointing to the low vaccination rates* the flu is ALWAYS awful. We just normally have better herd immunity. But also as a side note the flu vaccine has kept my family healthy even with direct exposure to the flu ✌🏻

8 months ago my beloved cat went missing. Yesterday I got the call every pet owner who's lost an animal hopes and prays for. Her microchip had been scanned at a vet and she's perfectly fine. Shes back with us now and readjusting. I can't believe my baby is home. It's surreal.

I've begun feeding the birds... so far I have observed that cardinals absolutely are not intimidated by mockingbirds, male cardinals will chase other birds from the feeder, but female cardinals are unbothered by sharing with the finches.

Attempting my first polka dot begonia propagation. I poured a little of the dirty water from my rooted pothos propagation to hopefully stimulate some root growth with the pothos root hormone. If I don't see roots in a week or two I'll move the cutting in with the pothos.

Yesterday I got chapters 1-3 read through, reworked where they needed to be, and some of the more clunky writing cleaned up. This morning I finished the last bit of chapter 3 and got all of chapter 4 done. Thankfully I've mostly been able to copy paste from the second draft to the third.
