Are antibody heavy and light chains really randomly paired, or are there rules? We sat down with @josefng1.bsky.social, who introduced ImmunoMatch, a recently published framework for predicting heavy/light chain compatibility. This could be a new way to rank candidates before functional validation.

Another preprint: We explored how the antibody framework (i.e. parts of variable region away from Ab-Ag interface) can be exploited to fine-tune antibody effector functions. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
Antibody framework is overlooked but important in antigen binding and propagating conformational changes to perform effector functions.
