I think the reason I write Joseph as hypercompetent and ocd is like... One would expect someone who's as spoiled rotten and privileged as him to just mope and be depressed and rot his entire life about Claude. But instead, he goes out and studies quantum physics.

Alright, their relationship isn't completely or canonically incestuous, I'm fully aware of this fact. But there's something extremely abnormal and disturbing about the way Joseph reveres Claude. A normal and actually analytical person should really be disturbed by this obsession.

In both the essence video and poster, he only glances down at his sword to polish it (signifying the beheading of Accused Duchess Mary by his sword) and he barely lowers his head even when looking down at people.

Everyone hates Judge but it's like the extreme encapsulation of Joseph's controlling and conniving, prideful personality and refusal to even lower his head before those he considers below himself. Chin up, so to speak.
