I've never been a Simply Red fan, but I heard 'Holding Back the Years' on the radio and realised how close it is in many ways to several songs by Neil Young. The chorus, the chord voicings, the melodic contours, vocal range...I guess they have also covered Neil Young songs before too. Wierd.
