I’m Jo and I love creating stories and art for kids of all ages. Also, advocating for our natural places is a soapbox I will never climb down from. I’m represented by @swekstein.bsky.social and my portfolio website is Jorenfro.com

A quick trip to Yosemite. One of the most awe inspiring places in our country. Thank you John Muir for advocating to keep these beautiful places wild. Our national parks are one of our most valuable treasures. We need to appreciate, respect and fund them. #kidlitartpostcard

Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt. A favorite quote and my illustration of
John Muir.

Me sitting on a rock in front of Half Dome. One of many incredible places in Yosemite National Park.

Same. People think I just don’t like it because it means I’m getting older. Not a bit! Just happy I’m still here doing what I like to do. No need for attention.

This is the third book in my hilarious (in my unbiased opinion 😊) Peg Series. Peg started as an egg in book number one and now she’s out exploring the world on her own. There is a surprising and funny twist that I can’t disclose, but PEG’S EGG shows us that it’s ok to laugh at your little mistakes!

The cover of the book PEG’S EGG. A cute little yellow chick sitting atop a giant speckled egg.

Then he would saddle them all up and I would take off on an all day trailride. Heaven! I distinctly remember having this photo taken. The beginning of my ‘awkward’ phase.

Little me for #kidlitartpostcard day. Every summer we went to the same ranch in Colorado. This was my childhood hero. Ellis. He was the cowboy in charge of the horses. I would get up early every morning and sit on the front porch and watch him ride across the river to bring the horses back across.

Young awkward me in overalls with my childhood hero, a cowboy named Ellis.

Pete for Prez please. I love it when he goes on Faux news. They try to rile him up and he just stays cool and proves them wrong.

I just have to say…I NEVER, EVER voted for this lunatic. And to the rest of the world, there are still a lot of good people here in the US and we are mad, horrified, terrified and doing all we can to stop this madness.
