New article out! 🧠 Hanneke Scheppink introduces a new noise-tag BCI paradigm using motion (expanding/contracting) rather than flashing (black/white) evoking the code-modulated motion visual evoked potential (c-MVEP). Congrats Hanneke on this great work! 📄 Read the article: doi.org/10.3389/fnrg...

Happy to share our newly published review on #SSVEPs! We review the state of the art and discuss how steady-state visual evoked potentials are driving advances in cognitive neuroscience, clinical neuroscience, and neural engineering. Feedback is welcome! www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

📢 It’s finally out! New paper alert: doi.org/10.1109/SMC5... 🧠 Summary: We study calibration-free BCI using ERP data and show that rCCA, originally from c-VEP, performs very well when transferred to ERP, being on par with the SOTA UMM. Both reach very high accuracy without any supervised training.

Exploring new territory II: Calibration-free decoding for ERP BCI
A brain-computer interface (BCI) typically requires a calibration phase to train its decoding model using supervised data, which can be time-consuming and impractical in real-world scenarios. This stu...

🧠 Recent article in BPEX This study shows BCI inefficiency in c-VEP BCI, neurophysiological predictors of that inefficiency, and how personalisation can boost performance and comfort. A step toward high-speed, accessible, user-friendly BCI! 📖 doi.org/10.1088/2057... #BCI #Neurotechnology #EEG
