Just finished my first ever 5k race and beat my previous PB by over two minutes! I’m still very new to the world of running, but a sub-32 minute 5K is something I never would’ve imagined being able to do when I started two months ago. (Also, Chester Zoo Run For Nature is lovely — would recommend!)

It was a real pleasure to write about I Am Frankelda — Mexico’s first (of many!) stop-motion animated feature — for Empire. This is a wildly inventive fantasy epic with musical numbers and visual flourishes that are SO exciting, and a story with heaps of heart and imagination.

This sequence in Charlotte Regan’s new BBC series Mint is my favourite thing I’ve seen on TV this year so far. The use of Daughter’s ‘Medicine’ is perfect, and Laird and Coyle-Larner carry the intensity and intimacy of the moment beautifully. So much good TV on at the moment, long may it continue!
