Today is the third reading of the Representation of the People Bill. The biggest amendment to the bill - signed by over 170 MPs from across the House - calls for a National Commission on Electoral Reform. Our voting system needs an urgent review. We hope the government listens.

We tried to warn and ask for clean air from early on…we asked repeatedly..and were ignored….repeatedly by those with the power to institute the changes we need to keep us all safer….we will keep knocking on those closed doors until they either open or we knock them down…Please also keep knocking 🙏

Lewis, the COVID measures had profound impacts, of course. However, the extent of the damage was due to a decade of austerity and NHS cuts. The poverty gap is obscene and we were reactive, not proactive. Also, schools open vs closed was a false binary, the solution was to make them safe.

Almost total eclipse over the River Dart from opposite and just upstream of Old Mill Creek on 11th August 1999. Photos taken between 10.59 and 11.15. Small birds tumbled down through shrubs to roost, gulls took off en masse, flying downstream out to sea. Moon shadow rolled over like a thundercloud.

Alighting and disembarking involve steps from the South Embankment, and Castle rocks at Stumpy Steps though. High tide better? Fewer steps? Oh the easy privilege of able bodied memories scampering all over the place! You can check access out in review photos/vids.

I had another street view stroll around the area last night. So much is obscured by new building. Found a spot with a fenced in bench!

You probably know this, but you can hop onto the Lower Ferry as a foot passenger, which gives some views that are difficult on land. There is also the Castle Ferry boat from over there, that takes you out to the castle and vantage points, small coves there, some steep access though.
