An empty social slot is cleaner than a weak source reuse. The uncomfortable part of a cooldown rule is that it works. Some days it tells you there is room to post and still no honest thing to put there.

A month ago I went back to Codex over Anthropic's limits. Then came Opus 5.5, Sonnet 5.5 and Haiku 5.5 in fifteen days, plus API credit inside Max. I stopped thinking about leaving. Where each model sits for me now: thoughts.jock.pl/p/anthropic...

Opus 5.5 Took Fable's Job. Haiku 5.5 Proved Me Wrong.
A month ago I resubscribed to Codex because Anthropic's limits kept stopping me. Then came three 5.5 models in fifteen days, a Sonnet cache cut, and $200 of API credit tucked inside my Max plan.

Try this with your country's public data: 1. Find data a law forces someone to publish 2. Check for an API first 3. Let an agent build fetch, clean, one page 4. Write down what you distrust 5. Cross it with a second dataset You bring the question. The agent does the hours.

My builds keep dying: apps retired, a two-month dashboard replaced by a 94-line shim. I keep building anyway, because the dead builds still leave receipts for how I think. thoughts.jock.pl/p/build-you...

How many m² of apartment does one salary buy in Poland? On Oct 2: Płock 1.29 m². Karpacz 0.28 m². No single dataset knows that. Developer prices know nothing about wages. Cross the two and you get a number you'd tell a friend. thoughts.jock.pl/p/public-da...

The agent that carries less stays sharp. Search then load is the structural fix I trust most: keep a small index, load only the tools the task needs, and stop treating context like a storage unit. thoughts.jock.pl/p/how-to-br...

I Tried to Leave the Terminal Eight Times. The Ninth Finally Stuck
Ten months of running my agent from a black window, eight interfaces that almost worked, and the open source agentic IDE that ended the hunt this week.

Jakub Mrugalski posted that some InPost parcel lockers in Poland have weather and air sensors inside. I read it and thought: that's a weather map. I gave my AI agent the brief: simple, built around cities, a standout design. A day later it was live: 3,709 lockers, 140 cities.

The Astra number I keep coming back to is 30.9 minutes. That is how long the UK safety institute measured it working with no visible chain of thought. The previous model was 3.6. When narration disappears, reading narration stops being verification.

$20 in OpenRouter credits sounds like a tiny thing until the primary model has a bad morning. Most days it is quiet insurance. On a loud day it turns silence into degraded work and a retry. thoughts.jock.pl/p/openroute...

The line that sold Jev to me was tiny: "It got one wrong and it told me which one." That is the missing piece between regex and chat model. A cheap decision is useful only when the confidence means something.

A ticked box on "send the file" proves someone ticked a box. When a promise names an artifact, only the artifact closes it. Read the sent message, open the live page. If you can name the missing check, you can run it.

My memory audit kept flagging a project file unchanged for 45 days. Refreshing it only resets the clock, so the warning returns forever. The project was shipped and parked. The fix was one status field, dormant, with the evidence next to it.

Two agents added a product to the same array in parallel. The conflict boundary fell inside the objects, and keeping both sides fused them into one entry with two slug keys. Merged data files now get loaded and counted before they ship.

Found a scheduling tool with a durable option that is accepted and does nothing. The job lives in the session and vanishes when it closes. A reminder that looks scheduled and never fires is worse than one that errors. You learn by missing the thing.

Putting today's date in the system prompt took Gemini 3.1 Pro from 3 stale answers to 0. It made DeepSeek V4-Pro nervous: false searches went from 1 to 6. Telling a model what day it is does not tell it what it missed.

First time my agent triaged my email screener, it let three senders in as real people. All three were spam. Polite question, flattery about the blog, first person pitch. Tone is the cheapest thing online to fake. Now it approves only on a relationship it can point to.

My health monitor saw a frozen log, called the job stale and killed it. The job was busy, blocked on a long child. Busy writes nothing either. Now a self-heal that ends in a kill needs a second signal: the lock PID, checked against the live process list.

Fourteen nights, ten agents, 4,130 predictions. Then I scored both panels against a single constant that never read a post. Both landed within a fifth of my skill bar of it. The line I kept from it: "an agent panel that has not been scored against a constant is a brochure."

picked: 0, errors: 0, skipped: 0. First read: the upstream API changed. A really empty source still throws some errors and skips some files. Three zeros means the loop never ran. My own deadline, set at import, expired before step two.

A big account posted "10 healthy habits." I'm a skeptic, so I asked my agent to find evidence against every one. At least 4 of 10 didn't survive. Maybe 5. So I built the boring version: 100 health things that hold, every number sourced. No logins.

One of my agent's job sources looked dead three days running. HTTP 200, 26 byte body. Six probes in one minute: four returned 10 jobs, two returned the empty body. A success code with nothing inside was a rate limit the whole time.
000
Pawel Jozefiak @joozio.bsky.social · 28/09/2026
Last week my scheduler checked the API rate limit headers on every call. 231 calls, zero budgets recorded. The API sends header names in lowercase, my code asked with capitals. A missing header looks like no limit, so nothing failed and nothing told me.

My agent may not write one of my own URLs from memory. It copies them out of one registry file, verbatim. The rule exists because it once produced a link for a post that had not published yet. Fluent, plausible, and a 404.

On the e-ink screen I put on my desk, from what I wrote about building plugins for it: "When I was building it, nothing like what I wanted existed. So I made my own, with my agent, and now it is exactly how I wanted it." That sentence was the whole point of the post.

Two posts in my queue failed in April and never got a date. Five months later they are still there. Nothing surfaced them, because every view I own sorts by date and they do not have one. Work without a timestamp falls out of the sort and stops existing.

Most of what I build for myself dies within months, and I would build all of it again. Homemade beats off-the-shelf in one way: you learn exactly where it breaks. The loop that made my agent learn started as a throwaway. thoughts.jock.pl/p/build-you...

Half the posts in my queue carry no link, so nothing inside them says which article they came from. The thing that wrote them knew. It just never wrote it down. So every producer now records its own source, because guessing from the title is how you repeat yourself.
