This is a pretty revisionist history take given that the official PCEF campaign wrote put this in the voter pamphlet. $30 million I supported the gas tax, and school bonds but IF they generated 10X of what was planned I won't want state to build 10x as many highways or PPS 10X as many schools. 1/

The fact the crime rapidly exploded during the pandemic when we gave people lots of financial support but no social entertainment and then immediately collapsed after we cut off all the financial help BUT restored social activities has really caused me to rethink my priors on crime

We have the same problem with Trimet we have with bike infrastructure. For reasons of equity, cost, and conveniences (for gov not people) everyone got a 'little' biking and 'little' transit. So nowhere gets critical mass. If you want a mode adopted you need a dense blanketing in a small area. 2/

So got a "First Years" baby bath from Target. Went to give my son his first bath and noticed the factory accidentally drilled an extra hole in the bottom. Spent like 10 minutes looking for a plug before finally pulling up pictures off the Internet proven it was just a pure error by the company.

We are at peak pendulum swing on immigrantion and according to Quinnipiac a legal path for non-criminals is only moderately popular. Why Dems have a very small 2029 window. Don't try a grand bargain, forget adding border security or path to citizenship (can address after). Just legalize non felons.
