I'm curious: What's the rarest book in your personal library?

Them: East London is terrifying. Me: Yes, but not for those reasons. Have you ever come across a giant abandoned teddy bear in a deserted park.

Did not get closer. I've seen the films.
A childrens playground in a park. A giant teddy bear sits abandoned on a bench.

not sure if this is the most implausible thing that has happened to me but it's got to be top three
screenshot from the Simpsons fan wiki reading:

""Treehouse of Horror XXXVII" is an upcoming episode of The Simpsons[5] from Season 38, as well as the thirty-seventh Treehouse of Horror episode.

Plot
The original opening is a “Simpsons”/“Nightmare Before Christmas” mashup, produced by Stoopid Buddy Stoodios — featuring “Simpsons” versions of the “Nightmare Before Christmas” characters.

One segment is inspired by the British novel “The Husbands,” by Holly Gramazio, in which Homer goes to the shed and comes out as a different husband for Marge. Suddenly, she’s married to Lenny. Or Kang and Kodos."

We're still knee-deep in EMF 2026 accounts, but we can confirm that the swap shop and other donation links raised £5,437.57 for charity. We've split this evenly between our three charities for this year: • Medical Aid for Palestinians • Not a Phase - notaphase.org • London's Air Ambulance

My neighbour handed me a forgotten ebay package - A rare 1960's booklet published by a US church detailing how computers will bring about the end of the world. I thought it would be nonsense, but if you swap Europe for the US, they're not totally wrong.
A quote from "The Role of the Computer in the End-Time" by Ray Brubaker:

When this happens--when one the Bible calls the "Antichrist' appears, you can know that his power will be felt worldwide. For not only will he control the economy, but through a computerized system headquartered in Europe, he will be able to keep tabs on every living person in the world.

Now, according to the Bible the way he will do this is by a number that he will require to appear on either the forehead on the hand of the person that is buying or selling. In that day, when antichrist rules, it will be impossible for anyone to buy or sell without identification. It's as though your social security number was indelibly imprinted on your body. And when you appear before the scanning device, it will be able to register your number and report back instantly on whether or not there are sufficient funds in your bank account and you can make your purchase. Naturally, if you don't have funds in your account or if you don't have a number, you can't do business with any of the commercial enterprises of that day.

In all seriousness that would make me trust them _more_. That flight crew will have every possible qualification they can obtain, wrote some of the flight control software, and probably operate a terrifyingly efficient small airline as a side gig for fun.

I should note that earlier this year they ran a crowdcube funder that was inexplicably closed early, raising only £1.5m. ...perhaps it was due to existing crowdcube investors nearly rioting because the documents explicitly stated they were raising money so their early VC investors could cash out.

GROUP STRATEGIC REPORT (CONTINUED)
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2025

Financial key performance indicators

The Group's total loss for the year was £12,234,738 (2024: loss £10,644,836)
The increase in reported loss compared with the prior year was driven primarily by the fair value adjustment
relating to convertible loan notes recognised in 2024, which reduced the overall reported loss in that year.
Operating loss for the year was £12,828,534 (compared with £14,133,347 in 2024). The underlying operating
performance of the business remained focused on revenue growth, product investment and disciplined cost
management.

The group has continued to maintain a dynamic operating model, balancing investment in growth initiatives
across key markets with careful control of operating expenditure and cash runway.

At 31 December 2025, the group had net assets of £10,925,686 (2024: £15,659,513). Assets were
predominantly comprised of cash and cash equivalents totaling £6,493,450 (2024: £11,705,453) and term
deposits of £2,649,047 (2024: £5,948,370).
