New #wolfhall episode... Lovely. Mark Rylance is 100% in it again. It's as beautiful as the first season, where you could randomly pause it and you'd have a piece of art. A little tepid on some of the acting from others, and the soundtrack is a little full...but should be excellent.

Rocklin/Granite Bay/Loomis are closer to red versions of bay area suburbs. Lincoln used to be rural-ish until recently. It's all sprawl. You should see Elk Grove now.

I was at Sierra in the 90s and watched it all grow. HP and Intel had big campuses. Rocklin and Granite Bay turned into a destination for big money. now there are massive mansions in the oak woods. Where there's money, there's Destiny Church, Mormon enclaves and some big catholic pushes too.

Definitely more powerful than that. Rocklin was a chip assembly hub in the 90s, a Hollywood hiding spot in the 00s and a deep red Mormon and evangelical spot after. Lots of disposable income, lots of Trump. It's tougher for the left than farm country. This is extra interesting.

I just saw the results over there. Despite them losing, I'm still surprised at the near-20% the Musk-right wing party got. Left wing media outlets call it a shutout, but coming in 2nd in a parliamentarian system doesn't seem awesome. I also have no clue about the "winner".
