The worst tv series i have seen in along time: Interview with the Vampire, its depressing, a paper thin plot and worst of all for a vampire series, its very little fun. 2/10.

Star Trek Strange New Worlds....the puppet episode. Sorry guys, Angel did this first and did it a lot better, the ending was terrible as well. Can we just have some star trek in the new star trek?

France have been terrible tonight, so bad its making me feel sympathy for them.

Jonathan Harvey @jonomtdoom.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

This France Paraguay game is one of the worst matches i have seen in a long time, falling over, kicking out, shoving, some poor refereeing, load of nonsense, will be good to see the back of Paraguay.

Watching England play football is like having your finger nails extracted slowly for 90 minutes, its a relief when its over.

I would suggest the point about the rain water percolating through 2-4kms of limestone not quite accurate, source is Mendip Hills about 15 miles away and the water goes down to about 2.5kms depth to be heated before resurfacing.

Jonathan Harvey @jonomtdoom.bsky.social · 23/06/2026

The BBC UHD iPlayer option to watch the football is brilliant, its like being in the stadium, helps if you have a really big tv.

thats a new one to me, my favorite so far is it picked up Puffin when it was probably a cow. Maybe someone should start a list of Merlin funnies.

020

Jonathan Harvey @jonomtdoom.bsky.social · 14/06/2026

Merlin is great, but it can make mistakes and get confused with stuff like chick calls.

Looks and sounds like a lapwing, could have chicks on the ground nearby and it will be chasing the crows away.

Star Trek Academy:Opening title sequence is a burst of shiny meaningless cgi, you wouldnt know its Star Trek until you see the Academy badge. I thought Enterprise titles were bad, they look and sound positively great compared to this. www.imdb.com/title/tt8622...

Star Trek Academy: The stories suck, everything interesting about the Star Trek universe has been extracted, the so called burn was a strategic mistake, dont mention the spore drive shit, feels like every series is getting dumber. www.imdb.com/title/tt8622...

Star Trek Academy: Overly shiny cgi, the ship, the galaxy star shots, the weapons, the alien space ships, alien worlds, its making me think the practical effects look better, more authentic, the production companies have gone too far, make it look real, not shiny. www.imdb.com/title/tt8622...

Star Trek Academy: only ep 10 is the slightest bit interesting, there is a Trek series hiding in there somewhere, the previous 9 eps are more like a school drama written by people who watched Star Trek and thought DS9:Move along Home was the best episode ever. www.imdb.com/title/tt8622...

One of the principle problems with Star Trek Academy is that there are no interesting characters, even the Doctor, who is great on Voyager, is degraded to uttering banalities. As for the villain, meaningless scenery chewing phrases devoid of reason. www.imdb.com/title/tt8622...

The principle issue with the sound track on Star Trek Academy is that it insists on using mediocre orchestral music all the time, not just dramatic moments, it does not have the sounds of the ship, the instruments or the engines, i guess it must be cheaper to do. www.imdb.com/title/tt8622...

Its always fun to have monsters on screen and Kurt Russell is great, but the sound track is really annoying, the script is pretty rough, the family drama tedious and the cgi is a bit below par at times. 5/10.

Monarch:Legacy of Monsters Review: Its fun, it has monsters in it, it has Kirt Russell in it, but the script is pretty clunky, the musical track is really annoying and the cgi is sometimes below par. www.imdb.com/title/tt1722...

Off the top of my head, i would check ebay for any similar items, then pay a visit to Games WorkShop for advice, finally i would go to a convention like Games Expo at the NEC, bound to be somebody there who knows about that stuff.

After 8 eps StarFleet Academy, this is the worst start to any star trek series, every episode feels like DS9 Move Along Home in its unimportance. The acting is tepid, characters dull, cgi is too shiny, stories poor and, the worst sin of all, i feel bored. IGN being kind. www.ign.com/articles/sta...

If this trend of wetter winters continues then spending large sums of money on engineering projects to battle the natural catchment areas of Somerset will be a losing battle. Better to prepare changing the use of the worst effected areas to something else now. Be realistic.

Taking the first 3 episodes into account, its quite good in its own way, it isnt a comedy, its like a single page from a GOT book, it has a class element to it, the script is not as sharp as GOT, the characters softer, id give it a 7/10 so far.

One the one hand its hilarious the new Melania movie is as shit as expected, on the other had its North Korean level of sycophancy and propaganda it got made in the first place. Fuck off with this shit. www.rottentomatoes.com/m/melania/re...

Poor star ship design, annoying overly dramatic sound track, shiny cgi, lots of historic references. www.ign.com/articles/sta...
