Greed is good! 3:0 in #MTGSOS draft. Never resolved the Capstone (although it made an opponent concede twice), and didn't feel I had enough big spells for the Lute. Firstpick Emeritus made me want to greed hard, so I took all fixing, but another player took all converge Spells. Whoops.

First #mtgecl draft, 7:2. Firstpicked Grub, because goblins. You can never have enough grub. Dream Harvest didnt make the deck originally bc curve, got rage readded after losing m2 to flood. only drew it m9, when i never hit land 5. Looping Grubs with Mischief = fun. lost m2 vs vivid, m8 vs hobbits

rad little BR goblins draft deck from ECL. highlights are 3 Grub, 2 Mischief, a cursecrafter and pretty much no removal beyond 2 tweezes. Collective inferno and Dream harvest are included for questionable spice.

@shivambhatt.bsky.social Just heard your little rant about the Metallic Dragons being an incoherent assembly of alloys and pure metals, and I absolutely agree. One addition: bronze is already an alloy of copper and tin, just a more famous ancient one than brass. Makes no sense.

Just listened to maro's podcast on hybrid in commander, and rarely have I disagreed with something more. He basically says that it doesn't work as designed, and that's bad. I say yeah, it doesn't work as designed, because commander is a weird little corner of the game, and it should be like that.

Just 7-2'ed a Dragonstorm Draft. MMR must be in the basement, as this deck had no right getting there. 4c dragons with no white, no orbs, no Wildling, just a handful of exhales, a Ureni (that never got cast, my boards were just too good) and a dream. Played vs Shock Brigade into Roamers Routine...

I guess I'll be happy for the FF enjoyers, but I have zero nostalgia for those games, so I'm mostly flabbergasted why they'd start previewing cards when the last set hasn't even been officially fully released for a week. Then again, magic: cars also doesn't strike my fancy too much, maybe FF helps.

With how advanced tech seems now on Avishkar toake the "steam" even more inaccurate than at its birth with aether, and the new consulate making the "punk" angle kinda moot, magic could really need a new take on a steampunk plane.

In the second episode on C11, @shivambhatt.bsky.social is being sad that Hydra Omnivore isn't worded in a way that's neat with white cards for combat damage. I, Gruul player, want to hold against this that the way it's worded now instead makes it apply quadruple damage via a single Furnace of Rath.
