Over the past 6 months (that includes winter) solar + wind has consistently outperformend coal aside from about a month in late Jan early Feb. Next winter I imagine even that period will be gone.

Solar production does drop in the winter to about half of it's summer production but saying it's irrelevant at 500 GWH/day is idiotic Source: www.eia.gov

No way Arsenal get close to winning the league without a combination of a huge dropoff from City & Arsenal combined with just a pathetic application of the rules of the game from PGMOL. Which will doubtless be changed next season.
