Pretty sure this falls under the rubric of cruel and unusual punishment as per the 8th amendment. It should not be allowed.

Imagine how much more the drop would have been if not for the World Cup bringing in so many too.

Unfortunately that does not work when it comes to anything with congress. They get protected by article 1 section 6 of the Constitution where they cannot be subject to civil suits for things related to legislation or judicial questioning etc.

I’m trying to think of what state approvals even come into play? Only one I can think of is structures over 6 stories- they require state sign-off. Pretty much everything else is municipal.

Prosecutors had Trump dead to rights, but thanks to some assistance from the corrupt Supreme Court and his delay tactics, and idiot Americans voting for Trump, we never got proper justice for one of the biggest crimes against the American state.

lol imagine that. I still wish this thing was in the ground digging already. They spend more time talking about it than doing it. Too bad Christie killed the ARC. It would have opened within the last year or so.

Reminds me of the early days of the web when we were just figuring out what we could do. People adding features just for the fun factor. The <blink> and <marquee> tags were so abused lol.

He knew - and he let people die as a pretext for the war he's wanted for 30+ years. US shouldn't give a dime of aid to that country.

Yeah we are all paying. Here is an old article about it. This comes up every few years in online discussions because many of the places getting affected most are wealthy. www.nj.com/data/2018/07...

These N.J. properties flood over and over again, costing taxpayers like you millions
A federal flood insurance program, set to expire on July 31, has spent about $700 million rebuilding more than 3,300 homes that go on to flood again.

And because insurers often do not cover all the damages, we taxpayers end up filling the gaps for the people wealthy enough to buy those homes. Another example of socialism for the wealthy and capitalism for the rest of us regular folks.

Honestly Trump should be banned from the White House because he's a fucking criminal. And it is hilarious Fox News isn't banned when they are the only media outlet in there to actually have to make legal settlements for reporting fake news.

Jon Niola @jonniola.com · 18/09/2026
Yeah. It isn't getting much attention but the polling is MUCH worse for republicans than the media is conveying. In Montana, Kansas, and Idaho the republican senate candidates are now behind the democratic candidates. None of these races were even on the radar a month ago.

Ahh ok that makes total sense. When I first moved to an Apple silicon Mac I basically used it as a chance to do a fresh start. After doing like 4 in-place upgrade cycles in a row on my old Intel Mac there was a lot of crud in the system so felt good to start fresh.

Man I had the opposite experience. Everything ran super smooth. Did a brew upgrade and got things updated. Xcode et al updated. I guess my workflow is a bit less complicated than yours.
