I shipped TSRS 2.3.0 with a playback boost for the quieter generated voices, plus a few reliability fixes that have made it easier for me to leave the app running while agents work. jonmagic.com/bsky/tsrs-im...

We've had a significant uptick in the number of pull requests needing to be reviewed at Honeybadger in the past few months, thanks to Claude. It's cool to be shipping more stuff, but it can also be a lot sometimes. So I had Claude build an app to help keep tabs on all of them 😁 prairiedog.app

Trust should not be a blank check. For expensive product capabilities, a trusted account may still not justify unlimited access. I wrote about exposure, earned access, and why Product needs to own the first grant. jonmagic.com/bsky/trusted/

Trusted Does Not Mean Unlimited
Trust should not be a blank check. For expensive product capabilities, access should grow with evidence while teams measure both exposure and legitimate-user friction.

I wanted a few demo videos and ended up building Dailies, an demo studio my agents direct from Markdown. For its first test, I had Dailies make a film about itself, then use that film as footage inside another Dailies production. jonmagic.com/bsky/dailies/

Tri-State Relay Service strikes again ⚡️ The app started as a way to stop agents from interrupting me. Live mode made it useful to listen while work moved, but then every line sounded the same. So I added per-line voices and a BYO voice command 🪄 jonmagic.com/bsky/listeni...

I just published Tri-State Relay Service 1.1.2, a local macOS app + CLI for coding-agent updates. Agents leave short audio updates in a queue, and you decide when to hear them. If you run more than one agent and lose track of what is happening, give it a try. jonmagic.com/tsrs/?utm_so...

Agent-assisted work can look finished before the thinking is finished. I wrote about why that changes mentoring, review, and what we should expect people to explain when agents help produce the work. jonmagic.com/bsky/reasoni...

I built a tiny feedback loop for agents after watching my daughter lose context while coding with one. Voice helped her stay in flow, and then I realized I needed the same thing for my own agent work. Full post: jonmagic.com/posts/the-fe...

The Feedback Loop I Was Missing
How building a game with my kid and AI showed me that audio feedback lands differently than text, and turned into a better way to follow coding agents without watching every session.

I joined the No Kings protest in San Mateo California today and walked the two miles from Hillsdale Mall to Central Park with hundreds (maybe more). It was encouraging to see everyone with their signs, their voices, exercising their rights, and hear the cars honking their horns in solidarity.

According to eyewitnesses, armed ICE agents dragged kids out of their beds in the middle of the night, zip tied them and put them in rented vans while raiding an * entire apartment building* on the South Side of Chicago. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOXO...

I just finished rewriting a post I first published for coworkers inside GitHub a few months ago so that I could share it with you 😀 The past few years but especially the past few months I've transformed the way I work to leverage transcripts, prompts, and LLMs and I hope these tips can help you too!

New 10k PR today! It’s been many months since my last PR. I think the combination of colder weather and sweatpants plus headphones were holding me back. Today I decided to switch to shorts and take out the headphones right before I left the house and it felt fantastic.
