oh hey, here's a video of me resizing the window of Adobe Illustrator, one of the major apps from a $92 billion dollar company.. 😓

the AI coded app is this one, btw. already getting massive attention, because it's made by a popular youtuber. so if you happen upon, know that it is AI coded and there's a wonderful non-AI coded alternative already out called @kalapaint.bsky.social ☺️

amazing! my sister’s documentary won the Grand Jury Prize at the Edmonton International Film Festival! ❤️ I don’t a 100% know what Oscar-qualifying means but I think that means she can now submit it to the Oscars?? 🙌

maybe calling it a scam is a bit harsh, but I think adding only a logo and selling it for 3x the price is pretty close to what i'd call a scam.. but yeah, this a built-in service alibaba provides so i guess it just is very much The Way The World Works™️😓

230

Jón Kristinsson @jonkk.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

what’s up with these products where they all look identical except for the logo? is this some dropship scam thing?

Jón Kristinsson @jonkk.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

if i ever did a showcase or talk at one of those creative functions, i'd do one where I stumble through every, single one of the many UX and stability grievances I have with Adobe's programs, ending it by toggling over to the task manager to see how much RAM and VRAM they've gobbled up during it.

so it seems Disney+ 3D movies first in November (hopefully also in the EU and not just the US..) and then HBO Max and others with more 3D content later. 🙏

hm.. don't know how I feel about the way more muted grade in the new Cliff Booth trailer vs. the first teaser..

yeah, I went to desktop and it downloads as .webp which is so weird, cause opening the images in a new tap the URL is clearly to .png file. is this squarespace automatically converting the image?
