Can still see pretty well for most things (with c.lenses, specs, or reading specs combo) but reading in the bath with just my normal specs on, might be becoming a thing of the past. Pity as it's in my top 5 things to do

Unwelcome first. I was reading and enjoying A Waiter in Paris by Edward Chisholm. I've had to give up because the type is too small for me to see. My eyes have always been bad - I have contact lenses AND glasses, but this is the 1st time I've ever been unable to read words in front of me.

Thanks, that's fascinating!I eat faster and get hungry quicker than anyone I know - would that be connected? Also, someone told me that people with ADHD are immune to caffeine. I don't know if I have ADHD.

There's one hell of a lot of stuff on this My Aim is True 49th anniversary compilation from Elvis Costello. It's not my fave era of his work tbh although many would regard it as his golden age. No denying the quality of songwriting either #music open.spotify.com/album/2vZc0f...

Time for a brew. Never understood why people get powered up by caffeine. It has absolutely zero effect on me. I could drink 20 cups of coffee and still wonder if I might squeeze in a quick snooze

One of my all time fave songwriters is Elvis Costello. I always feel he's slightly underrated especially here in UK. His songs are always works if art. Great to hear him talking to Craig Charles on BBC6Music yesterday #music www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...

This laughable British sci-fi film from the 60s was great Saturday night viewing. It's the Night of the Big Heat so naturally it's supposed to be hot. Everyone just keeps saying 'ooh it's so hot!' even though we can clearly see from the bare trees and lead skies that it's November. boxd.it/gvmXNx

A ★★ review of Night of the Big Heat (1967)

Just finished The Big Sleep by Raymond Chandler. I really wanted to like it. I was happy to overlook the horribly dated language and attitudes. But wanting to like a book doesn't really work, does it? #reading #books www.goodreads.com/book/show/23...

Watched the first part of #70up on ITV. I've watched this series of docs ever since the 80s when we watched the original #7up at school. Unique and moving. How times have changed
