Do Canadian gooses have bird flu? Theres a flock that lives in the mall parking lot next to my job at the movie theatre, and I wanna feed em popcorn until they trust me enough to let me pet em 😅

Today is a bad day 😑 not in general, just for me personally 🤦🏻‍♀️😓

Succumbed to the feminine urge today to rearrange all the furniture for no reason, even though it's been where it was for nearly a year. My brain's already whispering, "maybe I liked it where it was before...." Fuck off 🖕🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

Just watched The Florida Project. Rarely have I ever felt so healed, and then completely destroyed, by a movie. Excuse me, FILM. I can't stop sobbing, and that is a compliment to this absolutely exquisite piece of art.

Sometimes I wave at people in cars when they look at me, but by the time I wave, they've turned their head and I feel like the absolute dumbest individual on the planet. Why is this so embarrassing, especially when SPECIFICALLY no one saw me? 😭🤦🏻‍♀️😂

I was listening to a 3 year old episode of a call-in podcast today, and a caller said "Now that this Ukraine-Russia thing is going on..." And I felt myself physically age 😓

Whatever you do, definitely don't tell everyone to show love to one another. People HATE that.

I was thinking about going out for Middle Eastern food later today. I heard there's a special today only on falalalalaffel.

I watched Angels In America. This was very heavy, and tbh, even as a part of the LGBT, I felt uncomfortable often. But I mean that as a compliment. The acting was incredible and the visual effects were stunning. This will stick with you long after the credits roll. Bring tissues.

I just watched The Cat Who Wore Sunglasses (aka When The Cat Comes, aka The Cassandra Cat). This movie is incredible; it's funny, it's sweet, and the effects are stunning. Strong recommendation for those who like foreign films or classic films. Part of the Criterion collection, and a Cannes winner!

I just watched American Mary, a body-horror film about a surgical student who gets into the body mod community to pay debts. It's awful and boring. The acting is garbage, and there's little to no gore. Do not watch this. Also, trigger warning: there is a simulated rape scene.

Watched 11 Minutes about Vegas tragedy. VERY hard to watch emotionally, fairly tame visually. Details that stood out: focus was strictly on victims and emergency personnel, did not name shooter. Listed names and ages of 58 deceased and location of all 117 shootings since, names, ages of all victims.

Watched Inside Man, BBC noir with all-star cast (Tennant, Tucci, Baker). Very clever and engaging, I'm delighted to say a 2nd season seems very likely. Fair warning: one of two intertwined plots deals with sexual abuse of children and a suicide happens just off screen so sensitive viewers be warned.

Watched the only season of Panhandle, absolutely loved it. Noir story about an agoraphobic armchair detective who can solve any murder but his wife's, and his unlikely partner, a sassy traffic cop. Reminds me of David E. Kelly's law shows bc of the wild characters. Disappointed it was canceled.

I watched the first season of Karen Pirie, 3, 90 min episodes. There's a strong feminist subplot, which I like. The main mystery plot of the series is fun and engaging, a *definite* appeal to fans of noir, but those who don't *particularly* care for mysteries, aren't missing anything major.

Would anyone like to know my list in advance, to follow along with what I'm watching before I write my minimalist (read: character limit 🥴) reviews? 🤔

Just watched Girl In The Picture, a Netflix true crime doc. Extremely hard to watch, it tells a story of sexual violence, child abduction, abuse, murder. That being said, it's a fascinating and elaborate mystery that is fully resolved by the end credits. You've been warned, you will be sad and angry

Just finished the Netflix Dahmer series. A fascinating, informative look into his life and those around him. Some very clever artistic choices (the deaf episode and the verisimilitude of the impact statements) but some controversial choices too. Difficult to watch but worth it if you can stomach it

I just finished The Serpent Queen, on Starz. A fantastic period piece about a real historical figure, Catherine De Medici. It's already greenlit for season 2! At times, it's hard to watch, but only because of how historically accurate it was. Incredible performance by the entire cast.

I just watched Mad God. This mixed media stop motion animation is a visceral and sensory horrorscape; the complete opposite of ASMR. A surrealistic interpretational film that is absolutely NOT for the faint of heart (or weak of stomach.) Incredible amount of work was put into every detail, however.

Just watched Imperfects s01 on Netflix. Disappointed to hear it was canceled. Very funny comic style series about genetic YA super antiheroes with a fantastic soundtrack. Stellar acting all around, especially by Rhys Nicholson. Here's hoping Netflix uncancels it, or sells it to someone who will!

Just watched Last Light, the 5-pt miniseries. Felt like the spiritual successor to Outbreak (remember watching the monkey movie in Biology?) More environmental guilt than a Jewish MIL mixed with Captain Planet. Not bad, not great. They gave it a "Suddenly everything worked out" ending, though. 😒

I just watched F for Fakes. A fascinating, brilliant and comedic 1974 documentary about two famous frauds, whoch questions the very nature of fraud v reality, with a twist ending that could only have been made by the timeless Orson Welles. I especially liked the loose, casual feel of the filming.

Watched House of Hammer. This 3 part Discovery channel docuseries ranges from muck-raking sensationalism, to brave and honest, but is definitely hard to watch at times. Certainly interesting, but you're not missing anything if you skip it.

I just finished Fakes, a series about two teenage girls who start a small fake ID syndicate within the halls of their high school, before it inevitably blows up into something bigger. (1)

Watched Lisey's Story. hard to say anything bad. King and Apple TV so ton of money and talent. Story deals with grief, loss, finding ways to accept loss and move forward.
