Sairie premiere the video for “Harder Than It Seemed”, the first single from their debut album “Beneath the Spreading Tree”. 70s folk influences, stripped-back arrangements and Emma’s striking vocals lend an otherworldly, transportive beauty to their sound. klofmag.com/2026/07/vide...

Important update from Newhaven, UK

Sairie - One More Kiss Dear

We couldn't believe the awful reviews at the time, it seemed like the reviewers had been to see a totally different movie to the one we had seen. The magic of it has never left me. We included a version of One More Kiss on the @sairie.bsky.social EP, The Cinder Sheet youtu.be/zKEldDKi1n4?...

We couldn't wait to see it again but on release it got classified as a 15 and we were too young to go. We spent weeks trying to remember the music and when the album finally came out it was a strange orchestral version not like the film at all...

As a kid I went to a pre-release preview in London with a free ticket cut from Starburst magazine. We had no idea what to expect and were completely dumbstruck by it, our jaws were on the floor. It's a cliché to say it but we were totally blown away...

I love all the surreal moments. 'Get away, you small boys!' I got to score a lovely new adaptation of Bill Forsyth's hollywood breakthough, Local Hero for Radio 4 last year which I was really thrilled abt

To think it was made as an excercise in making a film to a small budget too. Doug Trumbull was a genius

Jon Griffin @jongriffin.bsky.social · 03/06/2026

Such a wonderful film. I rewatched it on the big screen recently and afterwards, I went into the toilet and cried my eyes out. Bruce Dern's performance is incredible, the grief, desperation and PTSD. I recorded this tribute with my band @sairie youtu.be/dbAJBoJFHS4?...
