Swarm intelligence rightly concerns us - synchronizing autonomous oscillators - one eg., fire flies (actually beetles) synchronize - they first blink independently but then all together - they blink off (dark) or on (light). youtu.be/IEDkjaef-qQ?...

Pete Buttigieg may lead during Trump’s final days and then run himself. His advocacy is conversational, with content and answers about what to do, he’s stumping the country to help Dems. Anyhow watch this interview. youtu.be/GqB0Bksp7Hc?...

Though only from the celtic diaspora, I felt Irish today, like this was in my corpuscular structure somehow.

RIDING - It‘s been said there’s nothing so good for the inside of a man as the outside of a horse. Holly & I haven’t been on a horse for years. Today, Holly & I rode by the waters of the Potomac on tree lined paths, an easy walk on a light rein.

I was a freshman student at Fordham Prep en route to a Latin class on the University grounds, and had some time for class, and college students were going into the gymnasium. I followed. Inside there was a klieg light shining from my left to right and a young senator was speaking. It was JFK.

For reasonable doubt to release a person charged with a crime, it must be shared by ALL the jurors - and it wasn't. There is also the peculiar belief that a jury may speak for the community no matter what the law says. This is not law but it is a real factor in cases.

John Flannery @jonflan.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

I think it was the foreman who reported the hold out - and he said “doubt” not “reasonable doubt” - at least the report I read - and the juror was not questioned - by the court - or so I understand it. There is usually a separate jury instruction explaining what is meant by “reasonable doubt.”
