M33 in HaLRGB Starting working on this one back in September of last year, finally got around to editing it. 65hrs total exposure time with a mix of narrowband (Ha) and broadband (LRGB) exposures. Captured from Starfront Remote Observatories #astrophotography

IC 2177 - The Seagull in LRGBHOO One of the first targets I captured with the Cat91 telescope, decided to revisit it and get some broadband data to mix in with the HOO data I already had from last year. Captured from Starfront Remote Observatories #astrophotography

Another of my recent images and a rare backyard capture, this is ~100hrs on the Veil Nebula complex, a large supernova remnant in the constellation Cygnus Captured from my backyard with my Pleiades68 telescope #astrophotography

Been a bit lazy about posting here (and on editing images too tbh), so going to post some of my recent astrophotos that bluesky has missed. First up, this is a two-panel mosaic of Sh2 119, aka the Clamshell Nebula, captured in HOO with RGB stars with my Cat91 telescope #astrophotography
a region of red nebulosity surrounding an area of light blue nebulosity, lending it the name "Clamshell Nebula"

Catching up on editing some images. This is a cool region in the constellation Cygnus with two Wolf-Rayet stars, the ever-popular Crescent Nebula, aka NGC6888, in the top left and WR134 in the bottom right. Captured from Starfront Remote with my Cat91 telescope #astrophotography
a nebulous region of space in the constellation Cygnus, with red and blue wispy nebulosity throughout, and two main features:
the crescent nebula, a nebula that looks like a brain with a blue shell in the upper left hand corner, and WR134, a blue, circular nebula in the bottom right hand corner

Another quick project now that the weather is finally getting better. M8 and M20, the Lagoon and Trifid Nebulae in LRGB. Dark skies and bright objects are basically a cheat code, making targets like this almost easy. Captured from Starfront Remote with my Cat91 telescope #astrophotography
a nebulous region of the Milky Way, with a blue nebula with a pink core in the bottom left (the Trifid Nebula), a pink region in the top middle (the Lagoon Nebula), which fades into a more yellow/brown region of the Milky Way core in the upper right

Been a slow spring for astro but I finally got around to finishing an image. 75hrs on Messier 83, a very tough target from the northern hemisphere as it is pretty low in the sky. #astrophotography

Keeping with the theme of "nebula that vaguely resemble animals", next up is the Seagull Nebula. This large emission nebula is in the constellation Monoceros and has several interesting features throughout, including a couple small planetary nebulae. #astrophotography 🔭

First image with the Cat91 from Starfront Observatories, and a target I've wanted to go after for a while now, this is Sh2 308, aka the Dolphin Head nebula. It is a bubble-like nebula surrounding a Wolf-Rayet star. #astrophotography 🔭

Another one from Starfront Observatories, and my last image with the RedCat51 + 533MM combo, this is the Jellyfish Nebula. The Jellyfish is an interesting case of a supernova remnant interacting with surrounding molecular clouds, giving it it's unique shape. #astrophotography 🔭

Another one from Starfront Remote Observatories, a widefield shot of Messier 81 and Messier 82, aka Bode's and Cigar Galaxies. Gravitational interaction between M81 and M82 gives M82 its unique look. The dust around them is what's known as IFN, or Integrated Flux Nebulae. 🔭 #astrophotography

My latest from Starfront Remote Observatories, 48hrs on Sh2-216 in HOO with RGB stars. It is large in appearance and is one of the closest planetary nebulae to us. Despite it's large apparent size, it is still fairly dim. 🔭 #astrophotography

Obligatory yearly Messier 45 aka the Pleiades image. Roughly 17hrs LRGB, shot from Starfront Remote Observatories. This is going to be one of my last images taken with the RedCat51 + 533MM combo, as I'll soon have a new remote setup and a new sensor for my SpaceCat51 at home #astrophotography
